Question Spitfire "A" deck manoeuvre question

    Hi.

A newbie question about the spitfires "A" deck n WoW: DoW.

The cards numbered 15 and 16 show what seems to be a unique manoeuvre for the spitfires. What I don't get is how you line them up. In the rule book it says you should always line up the blue line on the move card with the blue line on the aircraft card. But should the move cards ALWAYS be placed vertically, as if you lined up the blue movement lines on card 15/16 it would actually mean the card should be placed horizontally.

If it is the case of always keeping the cards vertical, as is shown on the left, then this is an amazing move the Spitfires can pull off!! (Also, I know the plane on the right is a Hurricane, but my Flying Legends booster has not arrived yet!! Its just for illustration!)

    Cheers,
    Duncan

The one of the right is correct.

As a guide, if you look at the card, there is an black direction arrow next to the manouevre decks letter (in this case a large blue A), your plane should end its go having moved in that direction. This is also a good way of discerning what cards you cannot use when you have control damage...

    Hope this helps

Actually you can call it what ever maneuver you see in your mind's eye that allows your aircraft to end up in that position However most of us would call it a side slip for ease of recognition.

    Duncan!

It is a side slip! If i recall correctly only one other deck has it. That is one of the Last Biplanes decks. It is great to see the face of a opponent when you use that card! The reaction is i want to fly a Spitfire too!
