In response to Kytes query re parachuting & survivors rolling on the wounds table I posted this suggestion:
Rather than rolling further dice a little adjustment of the current rule & it could be done in one roll:
Regular shot down D6 3-6 lands ok - On a 3 bruised - skip 1 scenario
On fire and goes down 4-6 lands ok - On a 4 bruised - skip 1 scenario
XP card 5-6 lands ok - On a 5 bruised - skip 2 scenario
There was little response & was probably lost in the probability discussion that followed - So, what do you chaps think ?
If it's a yes I will apply it immediately
No objection here, Dave.

Thanks Andrzej
Excuse my ignorance but what is XP card? Would it be Explosion Card/Bang card by any chance. Sorry but I'm thick at times
Yes, Trev, it means EXPLOSION
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Looks good to me Dave.
Not forgetting that if your pilot/crew are wounded in action they will still have to roll on the crash/wound chart as well.
Yes!
Rob.

The site is back, but because of the transfer I am behind time with the last month mission. Who is the next mission designer, Dave? Me? No problem, anyway.

Still go to fly 9, hopefully tomorrow.
See you on the Dark Side......
I am in the middle of #6. One bomber off safely. Two planes respawned after reaching friendly lines. One kaboom. And my lead pilot's guns jamming every time he has the enemy in his sights during the next few maneuvers. Time for a quick dinner, and then the rest of the mission. I am glad to be flying again. I was hoping to catch up during the Thanksgiving holiday, but alas, no access to the OTT missions. Today could not have come soon enough.
Back at last I loaded Mission 9 AAR before the changeover but cannot find it on site. Will plough through my records to se if it can be retrieved.
I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
Rob can you do me a favour and give me my French pips back like you did last time please

I am happy too, WingCo
The mission is almost ready to be posted in a matter of days.
Yes, the new series of planes looks very interesting. Albatrosses D.II and Spads VII are superb.

Andrzej, I'm curious for your next mission.
I have "Balloon Challange" and "Let's score a kill, son" in good memories.
Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Going by previous releases we'll be lucky to get them before the campaign is over Rob but fingers crossed !
They look mighty fine though sadly it seems the info on the all round fire of the Halbs & Brisfits rear guns - like the Rolands - looks to have fallen on deaf ears.
Having had the no fly time forced upon us Uncle has had a chance to tidy the office and do a bit of Admin - he has discovered that the following officer has been somewhat overlooked in recent times but can now confirm that the double Ace and all round good chap
Ron Curtis has been promoted to Captain and has been awarded a bar to his MC; and awarded a Croix de Guerre CdG avec palme en bronze by our French allies.
Double ace Capt John Perry has been awarded a Bar to his MC & CdG avec palme en bronze from our French allies
Ace Lt Richard O'Shea has been awarded the DFC
I hear bells...!

One of the things I am enjoying/appreciating about this campaign is the learning curve it is putting me on. Each mission, I learn the rules more thoroughly, learn about different planes, learn a bit of history, learn ideas for future gaming. This is the most enjoyable school I have ever been in.
I am looking forward to what you will give us, Andrzej.
Well it looks like I might be going through some more of my stack of pilots when Andrej's scenario 10 is published. Best answer retire to the bar and fill up with some good Dutch.........................C.

This looks really good, can't wait to get started, thanks Andy
Gents - here is the current running order as we head into the last months of the Final Months campaign - Are there any more takers for writing a second mission ?
I need to know soon so I can adjust the campaign dates to squeeze you in. As it stands now this campaign will finish in April.
10. Nightbomber (Andrzej), August
11. Flash (Dave), September
12. Brambo (Trev), September/October
13. Beer and Pretzels (Michael), October
14. Skafloc (Neil) - November
I would be happy to write another one. I just need sufficient warning as to when.
Count on me, Dave. I can design another bloodbath like mission 10th if needed (joking).
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
But in October 1918 is not so much war leftover.
I plan a WWII campaign (BoB) so I think it's ok if the OTT Late War campaign ends for me in April.

Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Not before I'm done with OTT, Eric.
I have experiences with the Midway Rising Campaign.
I once fought in the Pacific and Over the Trenches. Not that easy.
I think the BoB missions will be limited and advised before. Something like that:
1. Jägerkampf über dem Kanal
2. Stukas gegen Küsteneinrichtungen
3. schwere Jäger über dem Kanal
4. Jägerkampf über dem Kanal
5. Bombardierung Landesinnere
6. Stukas und Jäger gegen Schiffe
7. Bombardierung London nachts
8. Jägerkampf über dem Kanal
Problem at the moment: I need an additional He.111 and a Bf.110
This will be solved with an order at AA in December.
Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Sounds really good. Will you be a kind of moderator and mission designer, Sven?
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Drat Sven I was hoping for more Midway or Pacific War campaigns as I have no BoB aircraft at all!
The same goes for me as for Sven April finish will be fine.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Not really, Wingman.
There will be a frame of missions, and each participant can desing one mission for example.
Base is the system Blackronin designed for the Midway Campaign.
We can desing something together, Barry. No problem.
Why not use the Midway Rising subforum and desing a row of (post Midway) Pacific missions.
I have Jap planes, P-40s, Beaufighters, etc...
You & Carl have already designed some nice Pacific Missions. All we need is a briefing thread for the participants about the goals, used planes, special rules, etc...
Take cover if Marechallannes starts to speak German at the gaming table...
Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Shouldn't be a problem to play the missions for the RAF with those excellent Polish & Czech pilots, too.
Only problem: The mission objective for the RAF will be most of the time the same. "Shot down as many Huns as possible!"
Voilą le soleil d'Austerlitz!
