    Question April Scenario?

    G'day fellow Pilots!
Is Si (Twisted Terrain) still in the hot seat to write the next mission for April?

  5. #1205

    Default

I await the April mission with anticipation.
With a short week at court due to Good Friday, I could fly it on my normal day.

Si sends his apologies but real life has got in the way with his gaming so he won't be able to furnish us with a scenario, that being the case I hope to have something along the lines he was suggesting up and ready in the not too distant future... watch this space

    G'day Dave!
I will put my hand up for Feb 2016.
I will be away in Qld last half Dec & first half Jan so Feb will suit me best.

I'm ready to step in and put up more scenarios as needed.

    Hey guys,

Just to let you know I'm alive and kicking. Plan to catch up with the scenarios very soon, my original plan to catch up was thrown in to chaos by being demoted, sorry I mean promoted to deputy head master at the school. I have a very nice holiday coming up so will cram as much in as possible!

  14. #1214

I am quite happy to do the March 16 one to round things off.
isn't that about where we came in? Bentangles here we come!

Congratulation James on your real life promotion.
You are now in the most thankless job in school.
Between the Devil and the deep blue. All the cr*p to deal with from both sides and none of the Kudos for achieving the impossible against all the odds, with both hands tied behind your back by red tape, with the Inspectorate after your scalp and the staff winging, or is that just English schools.
I did not mention the Government, because that would be political.

Good to see you back in the circuit James - thought we'd lost you for a moment ! Congrats on the demotion !

Thanks to those volunteering for scenario writing - a couple more slots to fill.
    Provisional tail end:

    Oct 16: Trev (Brambo) Central Powers - May17 Albatros D.V, Airco DH.5
Nov: Peter (Teaticket) Central Powers - Jun17 Bristol Fighter F2B, RAF SE5a appear & Spad XIII reaches RFC
Dec: Dave (Flash) Entente - Jul17 Sopwith Camel reaches RFC
    Jan2016: Skafloc (Central Powers) - Aug17 Halberstadt CL.II,Hanriot HD.1,Pfalz D.III appear !
    Feb: Baz (Gully_raker) Entente - Sep17

I like your idea Baz of starting another early war set, maybe with 2 missions per game month? I'm in no hurry to move on and I still have some early war planes on my lists to get and paint.
I would suggest a much shorter campaign in that case Peter - Feb/Mar/Apr 1916 - 6 Missions total. Same rules (with some deadly tweaks maybe?!).
I will add this to the growing pile of suggestions for what's next - we still have nearly a year to go on this one !

Yes please. Why shorter? What about 12 missions over the same time frame. I too would like more missions to fly my growing collection of early birds. And as the early months don't see big numbers of aircraft in the air at the same time it gives us a chance to fly more types more often.

I would concur with that, and if we concentrate on this early period it will give a chance to branch out and away from the Bulldogs. I would like to do some French or Italian from May 15 action for instance.

I was suggesting six months gaming instead of a year because I don't think it would support weekly missions, the take up may be low as not everyone has a 'growing collection' of early birds and we still have to cater for those that just have Ares models to be inclusive. It would also then allow a change to something along similar lines to revisit another period thereby keeping the action short and sweet.

I'll take Jan 2016 if I may Dave.
    Done !

Will post AAR later, along with Mission 12 BRF in time for the beginning of next month

They were a pair of La Guardias and I left the engines & nacelle (other than the nose) as is, Humbrol 155 for the PC10 everywhere else, over painted the top wing roundels & fins, Doms decals on the side, PP crewmen and Bob's your aunty !

    Dave.
I have had to put Arthur Jessop with Patrick Fagin for this mission as the only available two seater pilot not injured is Brownlow. So I'm flying Brownlow and Dawkins and Jessop and Fagin as my other two seater pilots.
    Hope this is OK.

Would you please add Lt. Sidney Carton as P2.
Also to replace Jessop with Lt.Ginger Hawkwood as a scout pilot.
Jessop can then remain as a P2 and it will cover the losses I'm bound to get when I post yesterdays debacle.

    Greetings gentlemen,
my apologies for the extended absence of late.
I have just started my third new posting for my company in 10 weeks, this latest a promotion and hopefully the begining of some more stable times.
I am currently four missions behind (10,11,12,13), but I hope to begin rebuilding the attic as a games room this week, so I can leave missions out over night.
If I don't catch up in time, I will still be able to write my mission as scheduled.

Watch your six, I'm a coming
