1. We are skiing till the early afternoon, than resting, reading in the lobby, drinking a little bit and than swimming which is great.
2. Curling is an option indeed, Paul!
3. Food is mostly spicy, Eric, which I like very much. Fish are great as well. Lots of vegetables and sweet fruit!

Well fellows, after months of being grounded due to the holidays, work, life, & my own faulty brain chemistry, it looks like I may get back in the air tomorrow night after work. The table is set up & I printed of all the new solo charts tonight. As a show of good faith, here is a sneak peek at SOME of what I've been up to the past few weeks:
Hope to get these little beauties in the air tomorrow night & let you all see them in action soon.
Those paper models look awesome, Rob.
Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Yes indeed Rob. Very impressive.
For all my skills with rigid materials, I have to doff my hat to you paper smiths.
The old joke about a black belt in Origami springs to mind whenever I see this level of accomplishment.
Rob.

Wunderbar Rob !
Excellent Rob, Hope they don't go down in flames on their first day out.

Wow Rob, I didn't realize they were paper planes until I read Sven's post, they are beautiful. I look forward to seeing them in your AARs.
super job!
Thanks Sven!
Thanks Rob. I don't know about BLACK BELT, but this latest batch of birds did come along nicely I think.
Thanks Joaquim. From you that is high praise. The FG Pfalz IS a pretty little plane, & very easy to build. Never flown one, & I wanted something different.
Danke!
I know. It's a distinct possibility, since they're going to the rookies of mission #9... If they do, some one else will fly them one of these days...
Thanks Trev! That's quite a compliment. There are a few tells if you know where to look, but I'm not saying... I should be flying them tonight!
Thanks!
Thanks again to all for your kind words There is one more that you'll see in the upcoming AAR, a custom Spad XIII "repaint". That'll be my surprise. The build isn't great IMO (*ugh* Spads! Allied planes in general! The struts! ), but I'm very happy with the "paintjob".
After THAT, I've got one more under construction for one of the upcoming FM AAR's & THEN it's time to start on the Early War crates!.
I feel like I've finally hit a nice stride in terms of ability, techniques, & amount of time it takes, as well as hitting on the right combination of materials.
Ok, chaps. I'm stumped. I've got the next mission all set... but I apparently erred in creating it as a .pdf! Silly me thinking it was easier doing it that way.
I've looked, but the answer has eluded me to this point... Any suggestions? Or have I backed myself into a corner?
Click and copy then paste back into a word document. From there copy and re-paste onto a forum thread.
See you on the Dark Side......
What he said ! Good luck Chris, table is cleared for action
See you are flying in the next round of PBeM on the RFC side ther Neil. Good luck Oh and nice 4-1 win against Hull, Great header from the Manager

Quick update on mission #9 progress: Been playing an hour or two, about 2-3 turns to a session, off & on since last week. Probably about 9 hrs, 10-11 turns thus far. 4 aircraft still in the air out of the 10 that started ( I added 1 on each side, glutton for punishment that I am...).
I have a feeling that 2 more more going down shortly tonight, & that this will be the last night, so hopefully the AAR should be along by end of the weekend at the latest.
Keep going Rob, I'm looking forward to it. What would we do without digital cameras? Maybe one or two diagrams, no it just wouldn't be the same.
It sounds as if this is going to be something worth the waiting for Rob.
Don't rush it old chap.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Indeed. I considered going w/ cards only on the rest of the OtT scenarios to expidite my catching up. but again, not the same.
Thanks. I hope so. It turned hot in a hurry. As an extra measure of "realism" for the rookies of scenario #9, I've been using the original, basic, Richard Bradley charts for them, vs the most current, up-to-date, Blackronin charts for the enemy.
The results have been unflinchingly exactly what I was trying to accomplish...
If Herr Ruengeller returns from this one alive, he will have earned every bit of his Ace status...
This is going to be one well worth waiting for.
See you on the Dark Side......
Look forward to seeing that Rob ! Neil's up next with Mission 14 for April so get cracking !
Ah an April mission , nothing in March them?

Mission #9 finally complete... Only one pilot escaped... Pictures edited & uploaded. Will start working on the AAR tomorrow night hopefully...
Looking forward to it, Rob!
As do I always rob.

OK Chaps, I'll be ORF the line until Monday early doors if I'm lucky. This old crate has finally just about given up the ghost so its off to the ground crew for a spot of TLC. (Off to PC World to see whats up with it. Hopefully I have not lost everything as now swmbo profile has not been recognised. Fingers crossed all will be well by Monday evening).
See you on the Dark Side......
Sorry to hear that Neil, but at least you will only lose two days if you are lucky.
Rob.
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death."
Not that I've been terribly active the last week or so anyway, but I may be MIA for a few days. There's a chance I may have had a reoccurence of a hernia that I had surgery on a few years back. I've got a Dr. appt. Monday, so we'll see.
Hope it all goes well for you Rob.

Sorry to hear that Rob.
My son had one a few years ago, so nI am aware of how restricting and uncomfortable they are.
Hope you are better soon.
Rob.

Thanks lads. Doc thinks it's a muscle pull, or perhaps a spot of Diverticulitis. In either case, it looks like I'll live, so I guess y'all are stuck with me.
Good news! I am crossing my fingers for you, old chap!
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
Apologies I will be off line more than on. Using IPad at present, COMPUTER went down big style. Worse case, all data lost. So more ship cards will be on back burner for awhile. If repaired should be back on line proper Friday.
See you on the Dark Side......
Been there Neil - hope they can save something
Really sorry to here that Neil. If I have downloaded any of your stuff that may be of use to you just l;et me know, but I think most of it is on the site anyway.
Rob.

Sorry to hear that Neil. But that may be a lesson for us all. Let me share with you my latest discovery: a data cloud. I started ti use it recently and it works perfect.
Buying a S.....g tablet I was given 50Gb free space on Dropbox for two years. They provide a free access with less memory storage as well. Cubby is another solution. Also free in some way.
I copied all of my data there. Not only they are backup-ed but also available from any place on Earth. It is a perfect file sharing system as well.
"We do not stop playing when we get old, but we get old when we stop playing."
After I had an event like that, my son fitted me a backup hard drive. Needless to say nothing has happened since.

I wouldn't care but I was going to move everything to my external hard drive before taking it in for a clean up! Oh well we live and learn.

"He is wise who watches"
Hi chaps!
I have been trying to find 'quims advanced Templates for Solo Gaming but drew a blank in the Files search.
Could someone please give me a link as I want to play a ED prequel over the Easter break.
Thanks in advance.
Same to you Dave - I must confess I prefer the "Hitchhiker's Guide......." / Zaphod Beeblebrox approach - you know, the "do what I say computer, or I'll re-programme you with a large axe" method - after all, I like to threaten it into working rather than just trash it and buy another one
