Thread: No. 52 Squadron The Bulldogs

Dave, since you mention a second two-seater in the airplane list, would you perhaps want to add an observer to one of the NPC pilots? Your Bristol F2B crew might get wounded in a mission and you would have a temporary replacement. It would also allow us, Kaiser's Adler, to choose the NPC two-seater crew as opposition for our missions.

One more thing. I think we forgot to tell you that two of the NPC's should be declared as aces, each with one ace skill (or three if Chivalrous Aptitude is taken).

Reporting for duty at 52 Sqn are:

Private Scout Pilot: F.O. Stanley DEASEY - SE5a

    Private 2 Seater pilot: F.O. Richard O'SHEA - Bristol Fighter B/B
Private 2 Seat gunner: F.O. Llewellyn DOWD

    Six Other Runners:
    F.O. Philip MacGLASSOP
    F.O. Hugh JUNDYS
    F.O. Horace COPE
    F.O. Malcolm TWISKIE
    F.O. Perry SHUTE
    F.O. Lewis BRICANT

Six aircraft: 2 SE5a; 3 Sopwith Camels; 1 RE8. (taking it these are in addition to the above mentioned 'private' kites?)

I had a pilot downed in Mission 1 but no losses in Mission 2 & no claims in either. I will let Jan determine what happened to F.O.COPE in mission 1.

See you up there chaps !
FAL. When I saw your list of pilots Dave.
It's good to have you watching our backs in the Bulldogs.
I look forward with relish to reading your AARs.

It looks like we need a new Adler to even out the numbers.

    Welcome to the Bulldogs Flash!

Transferred your pilots and planes to the Bulldog Roster.

If I got the informations about Ace Skills - Aerial Victories and Injuries of our new pilots, I'll update the roster.

Try to translate some of mine, such as Möwe, Schmetterling and Käferchen.

Some of them are just Germanized Jewish or Czech names though.

Worlitschek is supposed to be spelled "Vorlíček" in Czech, meaning something like a cute little eagle (little in size).

  13. #63

I noticed your pilots' names are Czechish in sound, but didn't know they are that perfect!
BTW - you are personalised in our squadron as von Weissberg (from Bila Hora)

    Dave!
You are very welcome to our solo-ensemble!
I've been working so much this past days that I didn't have time for my favourite game.
Do I have anything else to do at this moment?

I think that I will finally be able to upload my very fast scenario.

I suppose one should be Stanley DEASEY (but in a borrowed Camel) if not then F.O. Philip MacGLASSOP
F.O. Hugh JUNDYS would be in the other one.

Well done, you've caught on to my game & those are correct ! Not bad as I'm sure much is lost in translation !!

The another is Huge Undies (Hugh Jundys); Undies are underwear so that is 'Huge Underwear' - I resisted using Hugh JARRS (Huge A*se) !
You got parachute from Perry Shute.

If you shorten the first names on some it will help - you must get the Bristol pilot but maybe not the gunner !!

I will let you guess some more but will reveal them later if you don't.

As you have probably overlooked my question, I shall ask again, so that I can update the Bulldogs' roster properly - whose observer is Flight Sergeant Eamon LOWE? I need to put "a" and "b" to their numbers (which will be the same) so that they are marked as a crew.

As you spotted I did a little play on words when naming my pilots as I was reluctant to use real pilots names & wanted to add a little fun to my game.
    The pilots are:

Stanley DEASEY - Stan Deasey (Stand Easy - a military command !)
    Richard O'SHEA - Ric O'Shea (Ricochet - when a bullet is deflected)
Llewellyn DOWD - (Well Endowed - well... endowed !!))
Phillip MacGLASSOP - Phil MacGlassop (Fill My Glass Up - Kytes cousin, of course)
Hugh JUNDYS - (Huge Undies - Big Underwear)
Horace COPE - (Horoscope - he knows what's coming !)
Malcolm TWISKIE - Mal Twiskie (Malt Whiskey - MacGlassops tipple)
Perry SHUTE - (parachute - we don't have those !)
Lewis BRICANT - Lew Bricant (Lubricant - whiskey again !)
Eamonn Lowe - (Aiming Low - ouch !)

    Bring 'em on Sven !!

    Military Cross? Distinguished Service Order?
