    Default Jastas sent to A-H

Does anyone know the Jastas and type of aircraft Germany sent to Austria-Hungary in fall of 1917? I got Jasta 39 and wondering if there were any others.

    Look at this old post:

    http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/pe...ian-front.html

I found other links with the same info about Jasta 1 and 39

Thanks Attilio, just was I was looking for. I find the Italian front very interesting. Cannot wait until the Hanriot and Berg come out.

I'm working on this argoument but it's very complex

The good news is that Andrea last Saturday during a conference (See the post http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...ight=angiolino) confirmed the release of Caproni minis

Did he happen to mention a time frame on them?

No He did not give a precise date, but he assured the intention to comply with the announcements made and talking with him a few days ago he seemed to me rather optimistic on the deadline

Maybe Santa Claus will arrive this year flying with a Caproni instead of a goat in a sleigh pulled by reindeers

Yes, it would be nice to get back on track with releases instead of conjecture.

According to what I managed to find, there were three Jasta's sent to Italy:

Jasta 1, 31 and 39. They served there roughly from September 1917 till March 1918.

Jasta 1 was known to use various aircraft including:
    • Fokker D.I/E.IV
    • Albatros D.I/D.II/D.III
    • Halberstadt D.III
    • a single captured Nieuport 16

Jasta 31 is known to have used Albatros D.V.

Jasta 39 is known to have used Albatros D.III/D.V.

There were other units sent there too, including:

The Reihenbild-Zug 4 probably used the same aircraft as the other RBZ's:
    • Roland C.II
    • Albatros C. III, later C.V & C.II
    • later Hannover CL types

There were also some experiments with scouts flying photographic missions in the RBZ's, notably Albatros D.III/D.Va and Fokker D.VII.

I found out that Kampfgeschwader IV used A.E.G. G-IV bombers but I do not know whether it used any other bomber type.

I am still trying to find out what aircarft did the other units use:
    - Fl.Abt. 2, 14 and 17
    - Fl.Abt. 204, 219 and 232
