He-111. The bomber I choosed in most missions of an old videogame about "The battle of brittain".

I went with the He 111, I would have preferred the Do17, but that wasn't a choice.

Ju88. Again, more bang for your buck. Bomber, nightfighter, destroyer.

Heinkels are only good as targets.

JU88 gets my vote - The "Dreifinger (Three Fingers)" was a good multi-role aircraft. Not only as a Bomber, Dive Bomber, Night Fighter, Torpedo Bomber, Reconnaissance Aircraft, and Heavy Fighter, but also as a Flying Warhead used during the closing stages of the war. The Mistel(German: Mistletoe) or Beethoven-Gerat (German: Beethoven Device) where usually of a JU-88 Variant where the Germans replaced the entire nose-located crew compartment with a specially-designed solid nose housing a large load of explosives, it was then guided it to its target by a fighter aircraft which was mounted above it on a set of struts. After releasing the explosive laden bomber the fighter would return to base.

I chose the JU88! I can think of more scenarios to play, but the He111 would see just as much service on my game tables.

I want the JU88. My Grandfather flew the JU88 and the HE-111 and he always says that the JU was the better plane. The Heinkel is not agile enough.

I went with the JU 88 because I felt it has a better fit in the game with the type of missions it was known to have flown. It was a tactical aircraft where the other two are strategic.

He111 and Ju88 are a toss up for me. I went with the Ju88 in the hopes that the A-4 variant would be used with the twin rear MGs and thicker cockpit armor for better durability.

I have already bought three Air 200 Ju 88s but I don't yet have any Heinkels, so I don't mind Andrea's choice at all!

    Cheers,

    Carl.

Default German Bombers in 1/144 scale

The JU-88 and the He-111 are available for purchase already. the DO-217 is not. So I vote for that one. I really want the WoW stands for them.

The He111 is the iconic German bomber but my favourite has always been the Ju88 - just so versatile and deadly.

    Do17 and ju88 in 1/200
I spend a lot of time to make my own mould of heinkel 111 in 1:200scale .... but It can be cool to have rules and deck cards for them..

Just had this thing about the JU- 88 ever since I made my first two models as a kid. One was a Stuka and the other was a JU.

It has to be the JU88 such a varied and capable aircraft. Give me the tank busting PAK40 variant.

He-111. It's the iconic BoB bomber. Would have voted for the He-177 but it was not an option.

For the first model, it must be the HE 111. It was the B-25 of the Luftwaffe.

    None of the above

    I'd like a Henschel Hs 123
