Very good find. I had not seen a Halberstadt D.IV flying before.
Thanks.
Rob.

Halberstadt D.IV: Originally built in the USA by Carl Swanson, this aircraft is currently on static display in the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in Blenheim, New Zealand. See http://www.omaka.org.nz
The aircraft last flew in 2005, but in theory is still airworthy. It is possible that we may see it out of the museum and flying once more at some point in the future, but currently there are no plans to do that.
Note that all the aircraft in the museum are effectively owned, maintained and operated by The Vintage Aviator Ltd in New Zealand (http://www.thevintageaviator.com).
Pfalz D.III: This is one of the replica aircraft that was originally built for (and featured in) the 1966 movie, 'The Blue Max'. It is currently part of The Vintage Aviators flying collection and is based at Hood Aerodrome in Masterton, New Zealand.
Albatros D.Va: This aircraft is the most recent new-build to roll off the production line at The Vintage Aviator. Note the description 'new-build' as opposed to 'replica'. The aircraft that are being produced by The Vintage Aviator are built using original techniques, materials and plans where-ever possible to ensure the highest degree of authenticity possible. These machines have to be seen to be believed. This particular aircraft is now part of Kermit Weeks' collection in Florida.

Below is a special (i.e. not yet public) view of the new Albatros. Hope you enjoy it. :-)

Thanks again Allan. That is another really great bit of footage. Keep them coming. I am obviously not visiting the Vintage Aviator site often enough. When does this piece get officially released?

Wow! Rise of Flight needs those sound files to make the engines of their WWI aircrafts sound historically correct
The DH2 was awsome
I have a dream... that you made a nice movie like that of a Hanriot HD 1...
Thanks for posting this one Allan
Unfortunately there are no HD 1's in New Zealand at the moment. As soon as one arrives, we'll film it for you! :-)

Any clips of the Fee ?
Run for your life - there are stupid people everywhere!
@ Allan... Thanks
I guess the Hd1 isn't such a popular aircraft to rebuild...Most builders go for the more famous British and German aircraft... Strange really as the most famous balloon-buster flew a HD1...( and was Belgian as you undoubtedly know.)
Sadly enough Belgium is at present only known for its beer, chocolat, Brussels sprouts and idiotically incompetent politicians...
But who knows? Someday someone may see the light ?
Yes, but you will have to be patient I'm afraid.... I'm working my way through all our archived material in a chronological way, and we haven't got to that point yet. To be honest it's likely to be a good few months yet (with lots of interesting releases before then), but I think you'll find it a worthwhile wait -- it's pretty cool footage :-)
Cheers

Nice one Alex. Pity it is so short. I would have liked to see more of it in flight.
