    Default Austin-Osprey

I think there was only one prototype built and it was substandard when compared to the Snipe's performance and, therefore, was not built. That said I am curious as to what it's game stats would be. It had two Vickers and one lewis so it would have 'A' + 'B' damage decks. Hit points? Climb rate/ceiling? Maneuver deck?

I'm painting up a couple of Shapeways and thinking playing a flight of them.

    Speed of 190kph As it's a Triplane I'd go F
    Climb 10 mins 20 secs to 3050m equates to c/r 3
Ceiling 5800m equate to Ceiling 13
Damage 14 Triplanes as a whole could not take the damage biplanes could generally.
    So
    F AB 14 ceiling 13 c/r 3
That is where I would be looking

I`d go with those stats Linz,
The Osprey wasn`t brought into series production as it wasn`t a significant enough improvement
    over the Snipe.
They both used the Bentley Rotary engine, so they wouldn`t be that far removed from each other in performance.
The Osprey would be more draggy, but possibly more manouverable.
The auxillary Lewis gun would be a waste of time unless used for targets at a higher altitude.
Indeed there is some conjecture that the Lewis gun was a mock-up and a real one was never fitted to the airframe.

Thanks Linz! I know it was not a plane in production, but thought an element of them would be interesting to combat the Germans.
