As some of you know, I've adapted my son's name for my German pilot in the current Knights of the Air campaign I am running.
We started the campaign in 1916 and I have been using the F-Toys Albatros D.III of Hermann Frommherz. I have always thought his "Blue Mouse" was a nice looking plane. When Frommherz moved on to the DR.I, he adopted a completely different and unrelated paint scheme.
Since I wanted my plane to be recognized through out the campaign as
my plane, I decided to paint up a DR.I in the all blue scheme with the white and black fuselage bands. My blue is not quite as pale as the F-Toys model, but I"m pretty happy with it.
Here are some shots of it in progress:

Here it is put mostly together

Here is the finished mini. The blue was airbrushed and everything else besides the white tail (just the white primer) was hand painted. Again, all the decal are from Dom's range.
Now I just need to find a D.VII to
repaint in this scheme for when the campaign hits 1918!
