Thread: FE2's

  1. #1

    Default FE2's

Between 1911 and 1914, the Royal Aircraft Factory used the F.E.2 designation for three quite different aircraft that shared only a common "Farman" pusher biplane layout. The third "F.E.2" type was operated as a day and night bomber and fighter by the Royal Flying Corps during the First World War. Wikipedia
    Engine type: Reciprocating engine
    Manufacturer: Royal Aircraft Establishment
    First flight: 1914
    Introduced: 1915
    Retired: 1918
    Number of seats: 2
    Number built: 1,939

I have been asking for the FE2 for ever and now SHAPEWAYS has 4 of them painted that are beautiful I just received my 4
different ones that keeps the game complete. I will try and get pictures on line here.

Take it these are Daryl's colour 3D print models, Mike, the renders looked very good.

Yes, a workhorse for the long haul. ARES may never do these but with Darly and the unofficial stats we can fly them!

    Very smart Mike.
They will certainly add extra flavour to your air combat.

Thanks for posting the photos of these planes, Mike.
    They are very pretty.
I might get 'em eventually, but there are lots of other pre-coloured prints ahead of them in my queue.

Nice photo Mike. I agree, they are very nice colour prints. I have three of them myself and wanted the night flying version too, but something went wrong with the printing back along, and I haven't got around to re ordering it. Must do something about that
