Fall In 2023 – Game 3 – Not On My Watch
France’s Escadrille N94 are behind German lines out to catch any German two seaters before they can cross over to the west. Not so easy for the French as Jasta 26 is up above looking for just this sort of incursion. French Nieuport 24s find what they are looking for and more. A pair of Rumplers are found but they are not alone as they are just used as bait by J26.

Clouds are in play. Altitude range is marked with A-chits. When your peg is in a cloud you cannot be shot and cannot shoot. When peg is in a cloud, before movement roll a d6. 1-2 pivot 45* left, 5-6 pivot 45* right. The movement you exit a cloud you cannot shoot.
The German scout and French don’t know it but the tandem has to fly into every cloud! This is to slow the tandem’s escape.
6 started this battle. 5 players flew 2 scouts each and one player flew the tandem. Another player joined in and flew 2 more scouts.
Here the flight of NB24s closes in on the Germans.
The pilots do their best to avoid the clouds.
The French come in high, eyeing the Hun below. Engage the scouts or find the tandem?
Hell Spawn taunts the French to come down and play.
Well, the French do finally come down to play… one German isn’t thrilled.
The Germans recover quickly and dispatch one Nieuport with one shot.
So far the French are being kept away from the tandem.
One happy Hun. What does she know?
The Frencj regroup in the center as the tandem dives away towards a cloud.
The tandem is about to enter the cloud at the center of the board. Most of the French scouts are between the tandem and the German scourts.
One French pilot finds himself in a tight spot.
The pilots frantically fly their planes trying to get in their shots.
A French victory claim as one J25 Albatros spirals to the ground.
Bullets fly but the planes still fly.
Oh oh! Hell Spawn sprouts flames in addition to those on his plane!
Damn, that hurt.
The tandem hides in a cloud while the French buzz about looking for him. One French pilot dives into the could looking for the Hun two-seater.
Most of the scouts seem to be heading in the tandems direction!
Both sides have it hit the fan when the tandem emerges from the cloud.
Three French scouts vs 6 Hun scouts and the tandem. Not fair! How did they get into this position? Where are the rest of the French?
Kills were 2 per side but the French are mostly out of position and cannot stop the tandem from its mission.
The Germans can claim to have one the day.
