    Default Baa Baa Black sheep

    Hi everyone
Cr from our game last Saturday. Les Têtes brulées /black sheep ( copy of our forum) deepl trad
    https://lesnerviens.1fr1.net/t1316-baa-baa-black-sheep

    Baa baa black sheep" scenario
    3 games : 2 x dogfights and 1x interception.

    Installation
Choice of aircraft and pilot cards
    THE AS
    On a D20 best score
The player benefits from an exceptional pilot skill.
Then choose a skill for the winner of the challenges below.

[Exceptional pilot[/b]: This pilot can perform the same manoeuvre twice in a row. Place the exceptional pilot speed marker and add it to the speed markers. When 2 dangerous manoeuvres are performed, take 4 recovery counters.
The immelmann card cannot be used twice in a row.

[Sniper[/b]: May choose the damage inflicted on the opponent, take 2 damage counters and award one of the two counters to the opponent.
    4 recovery counters
[Acrobatic pilot[/b]: After a split-s or immelmann, may perform a manoeuvre other than a straight line afterwards.
    5 recovery counters
[Perfect Aim[/b]: May inflict an additional damage counter without firing first.
    3 recovery counters.

    Défis
    [Before each mission[/b]
All pilots(X) and the MDJ(if necessary to reach an even number) roll a D6 to see who starts the challenges (2 pilots each time) in order to benefit from bonus skills Number of bonus skills = number of pilots(+MDJ if necessary) divided by 2
Perfect aim, Acrobatic pilot, Sniper (see above)

The first 2 pilots (following the D20 draw above) compete on the field of their choice, the next two will choose the next field etc. (a field can only be used once) (fields are ranked according to different malus)
    1)Football

Pilots must run towards their plane (12 squares) with the ball to score a touchdown.
<6 The loser is out of breath: no pursuit possible

    2) Boxing

Drivers must fight each other at the start of the game
<6 the loser can't see very well out of his right eye: no consecutive shooting bonus

    3) the bar

The day before the mission, the pilots have a beer competition.
    They have to drink as much coffee as they can to recover;
<6 The loser has not really sobered up: he can only make 2 immelmann in the game (2 counters).

    [4) The tents[/b]

The pilots are jolted awake by the alert and have to don their flight suits.
The first to reach 12 can choose the bonus skill.
The loser (depending on the cumulative result of his D6s) :
1 to 3 no maewest ,-2 for saving when parachuting into the ocean + following malus.
4 to 6: Naked, it's cold: an extra mounted counter to gain altitude
    +6: no malus

    1st and 2nd games
    Rescue (6 pilots)
Episode 13 Rescue at Sea (A Little Bit of England), By Donald Bellisario.
Boyle's Corsair, on a strafing mission to prevent the supply of Rabaul, catches fire after passing over an exploding railway convoy. He was forced to jump and his parachute landed on one of the Konga islands more than 400 miles behind enemy lines. Having gone to retrieve it with Col Lard's small plane, Pappy was forced to abandon "Jeb" and start all over again. The 2nd attempt proved to be the right one.
3 Zeros vs 2 Corsairs and 1 Kingfisher:
The Kingfisher has to ditch near the island and re-board the pilot (one turn).
Successful mission for the US = 2 pts, for the Duck 6pts.
Zeros do not count towards a player's loss of points. Japanese players only lose points for collisions (-2pts).

    [Special rule[/b]
Roll a D to place the sun and choose the attacking side (see shooting rule).
For these first games, half of the pilots present will switch to the opposing side by flying zeros and changing planes in the next game.
Zeros are more manoeuvrable and climb slightly faster, but corsairs are faster.
Zeros 1 card to gain altitude,
    Corsair 2
    Duck 3
At the end of these first games, any corsairs that have suffered damage can be repaired by Sergeant Miclkin, but the number of points required to refurbish the corsair will be deducted from the pilot's total at the end of the day. (you don't have to repair...)

    Part 3
Japanese bombers (6 ) cross the board. It's up to you to try and destroy them.
They will be spread over several altitudes, but it is very dangerous to be in the middle.
    [Special rule[/b]
Place the sun on one of the sides ( D8)
Movements: bombers will have ½ movement per card
Table exit (for fighters) during combat against bombers.
A fighter can leave the combat zone (table) and return:
By the same edge: spend 1 turn
By the opposite edge: spend 2 turns
By an adjacent edge: spend 2 turns

    Tirs
    For all games
Attack in the sun: no defensive fire for bombers and during a dogfight the attacked must draw one more counter and choose the highest.
Explosions are effective but the pilot can attempt a parachute jump.
No points are lost on your plane when it collides, you cannot shoot but you can be shot at. (in the event of two pilots on the same side colliding).

Corsairs vs Zeros: usual combat rules (except sun)
    Raiders vs Japanese bombers:
Frontal attack: draw an additional damage counter (your choice) and choose the most favourable one.
Shooting at a bomber at close range: roll a D20 on 18+ the plane explodes (bomb bay)
No shot for a bomber if corsairs in the sun

    Return from mission
At the end of the first mission, pilots can
[1)[/b] Have their plane repaired by Sergeant Micklin:
A plane that has not been repaired will leave on a mission with the number of life points equivalent to the state of its plane when it returned from the previous mission.
The points required for the repair will be deducted from the final total.
A pilot who has been shot down will be able to return to the game with a new aircraft if he was rescued during his parachute drop, but will lose the equivalent number of points of his corsair (19).

[2)[/b] Be treated by the nurses if wounded for 5 pts: (note the "special pilot" damage during missions)
An untreated pilot who takes another "pilot" damage is eliminated and replaced by a rookie.

    Points

The pilot with the most points in total will be declared the winner
Reaching half the hit points of a target (bomber or fighter) earns 5pts (can be combined with destruction, e.g. 5+5)
Destroying a bomber or fighter (last hit point) gives a 5-point bonus to the last pilot to fire.
You can avoid losing a pilot by leaving the combat (not before losing half your aircraft structure points). However, you will lose 3 pts on your total at the end of the day.

    [Notes
A pilot who achieves 5 victories is awarded the title of Ace and earns 5 pts .

    Pilote abattu
If a pilot is shot down, he parachutes out.
When an aircraft loses all its structural points, it becomes a flying wreck.
The plane falls in a spin towards the ground and crashes miserably. The pilot can then attempt a parachute jump on a D6
1: the parachute does not open
    2/6: the parachute opens
-1 if the aircraft is on fire
-1 if the pilot is injured
If he parachutes, the pilot :
Falls into the sea, in which case he re-rolls the D6 :
1 the pilot is eaten by sharks
2/6 he is in his dinghy waiting for help.
The player who has lost his pilot during a parachute jump will return to the game with a new pilot and will have lost the equivalent in points of his corsair (19).

    1st and 2nd parts

First of all, a big thank you to the pilots who endure my scenarios, which sometimes (as here) are not so well put together...

The Corsairs had a terrible time against the Zeros.
To my great surprise and that of the pilots, the zero caused more damage than a Corsair (I should have read the stats better). I took some cards I found on the US forum.
After a quick search it turns out that the forum stats are valid but I'm still going to have a look at Osprey's book.

Given that I'd added an extra zero (Pascal), the Têtes brulées had their work cut out and returned to base empty-handed. The kingfisher didn't bring anyone back and Boyle is still soaking in the water.

As the pilots took it in turns to be Japanese and US, this had no influence on the final result.

During these two games Phillipe( D) with 3 victories won the prize for the best Japanese pilot and won a figurine that apparently I didn't take a photo of:x
Dominique did pretty well on the US side, coming out of the adventure unscathed, with the other pilots all losing points and even the whole corsair.
Phiphi (B) confirmed his reputation as a Sunday pilot
At the end of these 2 games, the black sheep are ready to do battle with the bombers.
    The photos

    Bilan
    Dom : 7 pts
    Eric :-4 pts
    Pierre :-9 pts
    Phiphi B: -11pts
    Phil: -14 pts
    JC: -19 pts

    Game 3 Bombers VS Corsairs

The bombers were no match for the black sheep.
Despite everything, Pierre and Eric lost their mounts (-19pts) and the others took quite a lot of damage, except for our president who, once again, escaped with very little damage and to crown it all, collected 6 victories.
The others are wondering who this exceptional or very lucky pilot is..............

Boys! Let's eat! (note the effort of Eric, alias pappy boyington, to get into the mood with the Hawaiian shirt).

    Boyington goes down.

    Bilan

    Dom 29pts
    Phil( D): -8pts
    Phiphi: -9 pts
    JC: -14 pts
    Pierre:-18 pts
    Eric:- 29pts
The difference between Dom and the others is mainly due to the fact that he did not lose a single zinc in the three games.
Eric lost 2 and despite 5 wins was unable to join the leading pack.
Our top three players go home with these magnificent figurines donated by Fox Co.
Once again, a big thank you to everyone for an excellent Nervienne day, it takes hard work but it's always rewarded in the end.

    What a talent, Pascal.
And with three 6-player games in one day, the discipline imposed by Major Redfox is imperative for commanding this merry Hawaiian squadron.
