Fun day in Schenectady NY.
Had a good 5 hour game session at the Schenectady Wargamers Association Game a thon today. There weren't any scenarios run, just a constant on going dog fight. When you were shot down you just grabbed another plane or just reset the plane you were using and joined in again during the next planning phase. Below are a couple of pictures. Sorry about quality of photos it it gets the point across.
Ah, those were great days, scenarios are good fun, but sometimes a free for all can be a blast!

Yes it is the new UFAG C-1. It was a day for tail gunners. All combined they dished out at least 2 or 3 "Boom Cards" and did the final damage cards to at least 6 or 7 planes.
It is just a "Grass field" mat made by BattleMat. Got it for other war gaming but I think it works for aerial combat as well.
Looked like a lot of fun for everybody Matt!

I had a ball -- I got to fly 6 of my allied planes over the five hours -- really enjoyable day and really good company of players -- the tail gunners on on my Strutter 1 1/2 and my Bristol were on top form yesterday --but my Sopwith Snipe ran up my best victory total of the day. Thanks to Matt for arranging this -- look forward to doing it again in the future.
Good to hear that the Strutter was in top form... I would expect as much from your Biff and Snipe!

Great shots Bill. Sorry it took so long for me to get in to help you. You can see me in my Sopwith triplane way in the background of the one photo. Come to think of it, we were usually fighting 2 against 3 for a good part of the day. Glad we finally got to meet up and play. I was thinking on the way home yesterday, maybe next time we can do a balloon busting mission. I would run the balloons and ground fire and depending how many players we have, split up attacks and defenders for the planes.

Sounds great to me -- count me in -- there are some Saturdays in the fall that I am already committed (my Wife says I should be permanently committed...), but other than those dates I will be happy to drive back up there. Balloon busting sounds great...BTW...although I flew only allies yesterday, I have a number of German planes if needed as well...
