"Ghosts of the Great War: Aviation in World War One"
Hello all,
For those interested I have posted a review of this book in the book review section of this site. It is a lavishly illustrated large size book (11.5x11.5 inches/ 29x29 CM) containing several hundred photographs of 18 different planes of the period (many historic black and white, many color photos of these old planes flying today). Each plane receives a chapter, and the book concludes with chapters on the engines of the planes (also richly illustrated) and one entitled "Requiem" containing many historic photos of burial ceremonies for fallen pilots. I have included several photos I took of the book's contents to give you an idea of how beautifully the book is illustrated (I'm a terrible photographer...) and I have added an album on my profile page with several more photos of the books contents.
