Default Good evening from the middle

Hi all, I'm Matt. I witnessed WoW being played at a club meeting last week, thought it looked fun and picked up the Burning Drachens box from Penkridge tabletop sale earlier today. Had a couple of games of the basic rules with my 10yo daughter earlier and have just tried, and failed, miserably, the Into The Mud scenario. Twice.

I'm looking forward to failing miserably at the hands of friends, family and scenarios, in the future. Hopefully with miniatures.

I found this site whilst trying to find a source for the B damage deck, but I think I may have to use the half A deck rule as I can't find the original 2 boxes for sale, at a reasonable price at least.

Apart from WoW, I have an unhealthily large boardgame collection, a few fantasy and sci-fi miniature armies and do a fair amount of RPGing.

    Cheers!

Good evening Matthew. I can now welcome my newest Wingman officially on behalf of the rest of the Squadrons here in Dear old Blighty.
As Rob quite rightly said do ask questions, We are here to help.
Rule one is never to expect to beat wives or children at this game they have a charmed life.
Rule two is always watch your six, and look out for the Hun in the Sun unless of course you happen to be the Hun in the Sun.
    Fly safe.

Hi Matt, welcome to the 'Drome!

There's nothing unhealthy about a large games collection; until it falls and crushes you, that is!

    Enjoy your time here!

Welcome to the Drome Matt from West Yorkshire (actually a Cockney by birth).
You might like to search 'Doncaster 2017' on this site for details of our annual get-together in Doncaster in mid September.
Cheers and as some of my fellow pilots above have mentioned, Fly safe and always watch your six!

(welcoming head bobs) from the lizard.

If you're still looking for a source for the B damage deck, I highly recommend getting a Rules & Accessories Pack. Doesn't have miniatures, but has almost everything else you need to do a wide variety of scenarios, including a suggested scenario booklet.

Welcome from across the pond, Matt.

When I first started playing, I, too, was failing miserably as a pilot. I have since expanded that into other areas.

A warm welcome Matt from North of England Squadron HQ. Once you start it just snow balls into an obsession.

If you fancy a thrilling weekend pop over to Doncaster in September and meet more members of the forum. Our annual weekend is taking place 15th to 17th Sept at South York's Air Museum Doncaster.

Even if you want to just say hello you are more than welcome.

    Welcome Matt!

Hmm...maybe I should rephrase that ...NAWW! You've heard it before!

Anyway, welcome from the other side of the Atlantic. You're gonna like it here. This site is almost as addictive as the game (or GAMES...don't let anybody tell you not to try Sails of Glory)!

    Definitely slippery ...

    But, oh the results ....

(We need a smiley version of this smiley, Mike)

I started just over 3 years ago and have quite the collection now.
Grab 'em while they're hot off the press - eVilBay prices are scary sometimes.

Occasionally members post some at pretty fair prices, so check back often.

Oh - and welcome from Orrygun, US of A
