Lt. Forbes:
Gentlemen, that is not thunder to the East of us. Yes it is a storm coming in the form of German troops. The Kaiser's men have crossed No Mans Land and are chewing giant holes in our defenses.
I have ordered the mechanicsto prepare our planes and start packing in case we have to fall back.
As soon as we can see good enough to take off we are to be airborne. All of us will be going up.
Lt. Kilpatrick, your Camel will be equipped with 3 bombs to use against concentrations of troops or an MG nest. Your primary job, ground attack, breaking up masses of infantry.
2Lt Winklebleck you and I will provide cover for 2Lt Smythe-Browning and Sgt Vanderboegh in a DH4. Sgt Vanderboegh your job is to radio coordinates and direct artillery fire.
Gentlemen, I expect opposition from every quarter. Airborne, Archie, and even ground troops.
Do your best and good luck.
