    Default T'Qali gets a pasting...again!

Simon (Maverick) and I managed to play a quick sortie over Malta during his visit.

Scamble, Scramble came the call and soon 3 Spits and 3 Hurri's were airborne.

1 bomber down but 1 Hurricane too as the last Spitfire and 2 hurricanes tried in vain to stop the bombers hitting T'Qali airfield.

(Camera ran out of battery...just aswell for the bombers bombed the airfield, NAAFI and barracks!)

Only 1 Hurricane survived the onslaught as the remaing 2 bombers (with damage) limped home followed by the flight of ME109's!

Cheers Simon (Maverick) for an exciting game.

Note: T'Qali airfield was the most bombed airfield during WW2, I think it still holds that 'honour'. Now a small air museum it is well worth the visit should you ever get to Malta.

It is my original 2008 4x3 board I used at the Border Reiver show's for 3 years. It is sticky backed floor tiles with basic details painted on. Actually a WW1 board. The brown smear is where th
    The trench line was.

The game setting looks fabulous, Neil. Well done.
Ta-Qali airfield is an amazing place of historical interest for us, enthusiasts.
Being there in May this year I was taken aback by the fact, that despite the airstrip which is now covered by a huge stadium, the old tin barracks are still there. Most of them are adopted by local bussinesses and manufactureres, but they are there all around the place!

Yes Andy and the bus stops right there too. I think it was 1 or 2 down from the museum. Did they get the Swordfish put back together when you were there. It was just lying along the inside wall in the main hanger.

No, there was no sign of the plane that time, Neil. Pity, but I am sure it must be under restoration. Money is aleays a problem...

Nice report and let us know how the Command & Colors went. I have that et and the Napoleonic one. Haven't played the Napoleonic one yet.

Command and Colours Ancients. Carthage well and truly trounced by Rome. The cards just didn't go my way.

Bolt Action was a intro game to the rules for Simon. No points just a couple of sections and an HQ with Q team. I just got shot up in the assault. My mortar team couldn't hit a barn door (no spotter) but all in all some good games and lots of fun.
