Thread: My B-24 Madness . . .

  1. #1

    Default My B-24 Madness . . .

Digging back through the box I found these remaining of my first B-24 pour, 7 at a full 1/200" scale . . .

    Then I discovered the Maisto 1/210" scale metal "toys" . . . bringing the total to 20 so far . . .

So here are the latest from elves . . . The Gunslingers: XB-41 lottsa lead from these guys! Double waste guns, second nose turret, side front guns, double top turrets! Good luck Mike!

Yeah I know they did not see action, but you know how it is . . .

Then I saw these cool colors and had to have them . . .

They will soon get nose rocket launchers . . . the elves are out to launch . . .

These will look great along with my Sunderlands and Wellingtons in the same colors!

    A third stray from a previous build . . .

Then there are the Ploesti twins, Suzy Q and Hail Columbia . . .

Ready for some low level bombing!

This will be a great game!

Will need lots of smoke to fly through . . .

I wonder why I see B-24's in my dreams?

So the sky is getting full . . . some random shots of the gaggle . . .

Now for something completely different . . .

    Lovely collection, my Friend.

I started reading a book on the 8th Air Force in Europe during '41-'43 entitled Eager Eagles. I should have a book review up within a week. It's whetting my appetite for some bombing games.

Looks like a POLISTI raid might be in order. Thanks for the photos. Showed them to the wife and now she thinks I am sane.

Amazing collection of planes here, Dave! A Ploesti Raid scenario would definitely be cool...German and Romanian fighters and flak vs. B-24s...

    Always the best,
    Matt
