    Default RAF Fighter Airfield

I just bought this RAF Fighter Base from Brigade Models.

I think Sven knows at least something about toilets

Now seriously, what about trying to look on photomap from these days? I was in museum near York (bomber base) and may be it could help. Check it

I have the same set and keep playing with it on how to put it together so it makes sense. The smaller quansit huts would be barracks. The two with the connection could be a mess hall or briefing room and the buildings would be some sort of admin buildings. Not sure how they would fit on the base.

I do not know whether these might help you. The plan shows R.A.F. Biggin Hill in 1940 (The dotted runway was constructed in 1943.). Below it is a computer simulation of what it might have looked like (without camouflage).

    Wow that was superb! Thanks.

So I will need to make a few E bits to go with the set. (Aircraft parking places or whatever the correct term is!)

The layouts vary Keith but have a look at this link and it may give you some ideas http://www.milairpix.com/ukairfieldmaps.htm, or just search on RAF Airfield Layout and take your pick !
If you set your Hangars & Control Tower out, put the Nissen huts behind and the more substantial buildings nearby you probably won't be far wrong.

This provides an annotated aerial photo of Duxford in 1946 which might be useful:

It is a joke from one of our last games in Prague a week ago gamemastered by Paul! Sven was flying a Zerstoerer strafing a British airfield and he named one of the targets as "toilets"...

Peter the guys that do BRIGADE minis are usually at HISTORICON. Last year I bought some of their 1/600 plane (why I don't know other than I thought they were cool). The buildings look good as a 3D target to add to a table.

    Euhm, sorry Keith, my mistake

Anyway, you know now that there is a Prague Con every year, so you can start thinking about your flight tickets (CSA or SAS, I guess) for the next year
