Left to Right: Alex, (Shapeways D.II) Baz (FE 2b), Chris Halvo (Bolcke D.II), Arianne (Sopwith Pup), Glenn F (both BE 2c's) & Chris S (Richtofen's D.II)

The opposing forces started from opposite ends of the Games Mat & the BE's had to fly to the German end, take photos & return safely to Allied territory.
The FE was aggressive both dealing out & receiving damage.

In one of those coincidences that seem to often occur in Historically based games the FE now shot down Richtofen's Albatross which was what happened when he was wounded in the head.

Soon after the Huns got their revenge by downing the brave FE which had been flying with only 2 damage points remaining since those early exchanges.

Well the result was Historically accurate for Bloody April but at least the British downed two of the Albatross D.II's including the famous Red Baron!

Everyone had a real blast playing that & there were lots of Anzac Cookies consumed during the Game.
Hopefully we paid our respects to all the Brave Aircrews who flew in Bloody April 100 years ago.

    Great stuff, Baz!
At first I thought history was going to be turned around, but things ended up very close to what actually happened.
Seeing your Fe in action makes me want to get my recent purchases to the table.
    Rep incoming.

Nice one Baz, the Baron soaked up the damage cards in that encounter but his luck ran out in the end

Great read Baz - thanks. Here's to the players who undoubtedly had a great time - and hats off to the guys, from both sides, who did it for real

Glad you all had 'a real blast'. That's the reason for playing.
Thanks for the AAR that demonstrates why you had a real blast.
