Request for our Presence at a Show

At 'Salute', we were approached by the organisers of a War Game Show in Sheffield at the end of May.
They were keen for us to run our usual Participation Game format at their event.

I said I would post the details, to see whether anyone wants to organise a game.

The organisers of "ChillCon '17" have come back to me, requesting an update.

I gather we will not be able to support them this year?

Should I tell them so, while expressing a potential interest in next year's event if they would like to consider us for then?

Apologies but due to an unforeseen undercarriage failure I am not cleared to drive until after June 5th appointment with consultant.

Like others may possibly be available for next year though.

Email sent to ChillCon organisers:

"Hi Steve.

I regret to inform you that the Wings of Glory Aerodrome will not be able to attend ChillCon '17.

Several of our members had already committed to attending Partizan the week before, while others have other commitments already in place, and we cannot do your event the justice it deserves with only one or two members attending.

There has been a good deal of interest on the Forum, however, and with a longer period of advance notice we may well be able to organise a robust presence next year, if you are still keen on us attending.

Our national Event Coordinator has asked that I pass on your contact details to him, so that we might mark ChillCon '18 on our calendar for next year, if you are willing. If so, please confirm this and I will start the ball rolling.
