Here's a Hudson that I painted for the PragueCon painting competition (came nowhere...). It's from Armaments in Miniature. The turret was removed and the resultant hole filled in, the engine intakes were re-positioned and an aerial and/F loop were added. All decals were from 144 Direct

    Thumbs up

Nice take on a Red Cross Hudson Steve.
I must do one as an Aussie bird as they did play a large part in the early Pacific War.

Hi Steve, I love your Hudson! It is one of my favourite early war bombers (I even have a "Lockheed Hudson" cap ).

I painted up a 1/200 scale Helmet miniature a few years back in RAAF Malayan colours - http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...ical-Aircraft)

Ah yes, this reminds that Nr 320 (Dutch) Sqn RAF (Coastal Command) when they arrived in the UK after the Dutch capitulated to the Germans in 1940, started off with their Fokker T.VIIIW floatplanes, then converted to Avro Ansons and after that converted to Lockheed Hudsons !
So ... now I need to buy me some Hudsons (or maybe just one) and paint it up as a 320 Sqn one.
    cheers,
    Guus

After a five week painting hiatus to deal with real life things, I’m back at it. Here are a couple Lockheed Hudsons by AIM. Using standard Vallejo Air paints and RAF color schemes.

Hope to finish up the cards and post late thus week. I enjoyed painting these. The green/brown plane is heavily weathered. I resisted this for the more maritime color scheme.

The Hudson and I go way back. As a child with measles my mom went to the hobby store for me. I wanted a B-17, she bought me a Hudson. It was so cool! I imagined the flap rails were machine guns!! Memories . . . .

Very nice Dave. Too lovely to be targets but I fear that will be their lot in life.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I really appreciate it.

Peter, I have all kinds of ideas for bombers in the CG I am working on that will make them more significant than targets in the game. Stay tuned....

Nice. The two I have (when I get to them) will also have a chance to do some damage, or at least try to!

I like that darker brown and smaller decals. Where did you get the decals?

They are MISCMINI. The set is 60 squadron Blenheim but I think they had Hudson's at one time.

Here is my draft of a Lockheed Hudson MK I card. Would love to hear any feedback. Next up will be the dark green and brown. Both planes are above.
