It was great to meet you Nick. There were loads of Bang! cards and I had nothing to do with any of them, honest

What you can see there is less than the full WIDTH! The Length of the hall was several times that!

Hi Nick, good to meet you in person, glad you enjoyed the day.
I can't take any credit for the WGS game, I just shouted the moves, Tim provided the kit!
It was a good day, thanks for the pics.
Happy to see you again any time.

    Lest we forget

Likewise, many thanks to John & Tim for organising the game & providing the kit. It was a delight to see the B.E.2c, the F.E.2b , Sopwith Pups & (proper) Sopwith Triplane. Not so happy to see quite so many Albatri! My grandfather would have been thrilled to see the RFC remembered so fondly and with such dedication.

I had an absolute blast and it was a real pleasure meeting all of the people there. And shooting down Mike's son, John, was an added bonus!

    Until next time.

I must say, it was a genuine pleasure to play alongside, and against, such top folks. It was great to re-ignite (no pun intended!) some old acquaintances, and I was very happy indeed to make new friends with new pilots.

Everyone had a great time, and we managed to cause the only 'Wings' vendor on site to sell out of 'Battle of Britain' starter sets! (thanks to Brambo's "underground railroad", personally escorting punters to the relevant Trader).

I took some pictures (not as many as usual - too busy!) and hope to find time to post them soon.

Many thanks must go to John Biggles for taking on the organisational side of things, and for providing the 'Bloody April' victims for my Albatri!

Great day, thanks to the usual suspects for supplying the kit.

Fun WGF game in the morning doing the shooting down, payback in the afternoon WGS game, very defiantly on the receiving end then.

Brambo's new best friend is Marquee Models from Harlow in Essex. Stock doesn't show on their site currently but they had WGF inc HP O/400s and Duel sets. Also had WGS but not the latest BoB stuff. Also some Sails including starter sets.

Marquee Models is my local FLGS and I popped along to see Keith at the show. Perhaps you saw him late because he had the BoB sets and some 109's and Spitfires when I was there but was deep in conversation with interested punters. Maybe they were snaffled by those seduced by a show discount.

I think the rest were all YAKs maybe in respect of the show theme but unlikely.

As I said, our efforts caused the trader to sell out of BoB stuff.

Personally, I never got away from our table; I would have done so, had I known about a show discount!

Sorry Tim. Must have skipped your earlier post. I just remembered seeing the BoB stuff while I was there and asking about some Hurricanes.
I bet those sales cheered Keith up.

Sorry about the confusion, I was referring to what he had left towards the end of the show.

Flew my first mission at this event and was very enjoyable... I didn't get any kills but I didn't get killed either so not too bad... and I managed not to crash into Helmut at a crucial stage (PHEW). Definitely highlight of my day at Salute and definitely hooked me on WW1 flying. Thanks to Tim and John et al too... hope to fly with/against you guys again soon.

    Hi Paul

Great to fly with you! You're welcome to join us any time (so long as you continue to steer clear of my erratic manoeuvring!)
