The local town train museum hosted a "Discovery Day" today for models-and not at all limiting it to train modelling. Signed up for it as an individual model builder /demonstrator; took along a couple of the WoG minis I have in my work queue for repainting. Got the most attention for the miniature zoo diorama I'm doing for my MIL, but the Dr-I & SPAD XIII I have were interesting enough for a couple of people.
...Including one of the organizers for this upcoming event:
http://www.aacpl.net/events/world-war-i-miniature-93940 a couple of counties over. Especially when he heard about the wide variety of WoG minis I have, seem very happy to have me show up for that.
And the same group seems to have another event in September: their web site is: http://www.ncmssclub.org/ , with the event in question being their annual show. (http://www.ncmssclub.org/annual-show).
So, yeah, I'm wondering about he possibilities of gaming with the minis, as well as simply showing them off.
