I guess we (who were back there at the time) all wonder what the Carponi Penguin Crew are up to these days.

Well my roving reporter just emailed me this picture from an icy land up in the Northern Hemisphere.

It would not be a very viable model since it did not see any military action, just as a fun traveling novelty I could enlist the elves for one, or 2. A China Clipper, now that would be coolier! And readily available . . . .

    World Penguin Day 2017!

We missed this, too? How oblivious we are.

NO, NO, April 25th is ANZAC day. How dare those Penguins try to take over our Anzac day!

The Penguins might want to recreate the Vickers Vimy flight to Australia . . . I know a guy with a Shapeways Vimy . . .

Most beaches North of Moruya would be way too hot but there are Fairy Penguins on Montague Island off the Coast of Narooma which is about 3/4 of an Hour South of us.

OH does this mean we may have another Penguin flight around the world ? Some folks here may not know about that epic flight from Australia to Colorado and ending in Virginia Beach, USA.
My friend Richard has the plane.

The logistics were amazing, keeping the plane on course and climbing took a lot of effort! It was very cool, do we have the talent today?

I would be amazed if we didn't!
    Maybe for Origins 2018?

I'm still here and not gone doolally Dave, so I would say that yes the talent is still here

From the last experience of 'overrun', if you are aiming for Origins 2018 then the flights should have kicked off 3 months ago.......

The AIM Clipper is tempting.......fairly light, no floats to knock off, lots of wing area for sponsorship but no room to put a penguin.

We must have the visible penguin element! : ) My ponderings on the logistics was in view of the number of our crew who are no longer on site, and our relatively smaller population at the moment. I think the effort could build our crew and connect us once again, rebuilding the Fellowship of Pen Guin! : ) Are there enough fish out there? And as I recall a lot of tipples were involved too . . .

I was in the first flight so you know I am in for the next one. It was something to see where the plane went and all the items added for the trip.
