Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Wonderful story and link, thanks! Its a must read!
Good post. Read the book and enjoyed it. Every time I see a pic of the B-17 I wonder how anyone could be alive in it. So much damage.
Love it
Thank you for posting the link, Paul. There are several other videos on Youtube about that incident.
If anyone is intersted in the book:

Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!
Very touching and interesting story.
Interesting that Stigler ended up in BC.
Sounds like a CBC interview - brings back memories for this transplant.
Did this a while ago, now I am feeling old!

Nice tribute to Ye Olde Pub.
The picture quality is about up to 7-11 surveillance camera standards, so you could be any one of those, David.
My guess i the bass player
Yeah, the old micro non adjustable cameras with 110 film, taken by a "groovy" older sister. Between the bass player and our lead singer is a guy standing tall, what you need to blur your vision to see is some guy in front of him with long hair pouring over the synthsizer and key board. That might be me . . . might not, depending on who wants to know . . . "Smoke on the water" as I recall.
My first guess was keyboards but I couldn't tell for sure that there were any.
I just thought there were stacks of amps.

Ah the Classics live on . You can still play it on an old punch dial land line telephone , if you still have one
