    They did -- the CC Beaufighters can be distinguished by the rocket rails vice the wing 0.30s.

    On my shelf, I have a book on Coastal Command... published in 1943.

    Just imagine if CC had been able to access some of the mods Fifth AF was using in the Pacific -- "solid-nose" B-25s and such.

    [nod] The "Tsetse Fly" -- 'cause if it hit, you'd being taking a permanent nap. Didn't build that many, tho'; if memory serves, only 17 during the War.

    Several operated from Banff from the airfield near one of our current test and evaluation ranges. Always a lovely visit when we get to go up there
