Geat research! This pushed me to finally make a page of our Wiki dedicated to him. Here it is:

    http://79.170.44.100/wikiofglory.inf...von_Richthofen

It is still a stub, with a lot more to be written there. Please add any detail that you found and you'd like to share. Pklease notice that planes and units at the bottom are only for the ones depicred in the game - feel fre to add there too!

    Thanks so much, really.

I doubt he ever flew Abatros D.I. Have never found any source confirming that.
Moreover, two planes are missing in the list:
    a) a 2-engine bomber (uknown type) he flew in Brirftauben-Abteilung (later KG 2)while stationed at Ostende is missing in the list. During one of the bombing mission he lost a piece of his little finger touching a spinning propeller,
    b) Aviatk C.I he flew in Champagne along with von Osterroht. He shot down a Farman in Sep. 1915.

MvR's first confirmed "kill" was while flying an Albatros D.I on September 17th 1916.

The previous day, Jasta 2 received 5 D.Is and a single D.II, one of the prototypes, for Boelcke himself.
At that time, the Jasta could boast only four planes; Boelcke's 'personal' Fokker D.III, a single Fokker D.I, a "refurbished" Halberstadt flown, with special permission, by Bohme, and a single Albatros D.I flown in from Jasta 1 by Leopold Reimann.

On the 17th Boelcke led a kette of 5 Albatros scouts into action, and MvR scored his first victory.
Since the Jasta had only a single D.II, flown by Boelcke, MvR must have been flying a D.I.

The Osprey books "Jagdstaffel 2 'Boelcke'", and Air Vanguard 5 "Albatros D.I - D.II" both carry this information.

Andy's a) above is widely believed to be the AEG GII I mentioned before - Zoe has done a repaint of this plane, with a rather fetching black cat on the fuselage sides.

MvR certainly flew Jasta 2's Fokker D.I on several occasions, but scored no victories in it.

Do you want all the planes he flew/flew in "in combat", or "all the planes he flew"?

"The Blue Max Airmen" Volume 5, dedicated solely to MvR, includes photographs of the man himself in other planes, and references to several other planes, experimental, prototype, demonstrations etc.

Can we get a moderator to move this to the WW1 historical discussion board?
