Default IPMS Thornbury - Warning Order

Chaps, the IPMS show at Thornbury Leisure Centre this year is being held on August 13th. "Wings" is the current holder of the "best participation game" trophy (and has been since the show started, standfast one year when Stingray claimed the crown). Local chums and those from father afield who want to go for glory again please keep that date clear

    Thanks for the heads-up, Dave!

Always have a blast at this one - hope to be able to make it.

Good luck, amigo, and watch your six--some of the "What-Iffers" can be real B*tchy Little Girls, to the point that they're the reason I left scale modeling again.

Sorry Dave can't make it this year as first grandchild is due to be born on the 13th so other duties will call.

Put me down for this Dave, do we want a Sails table also or just Wings ?

The booking form has just arrived and I'd like to get it sent off in the next few days. The big question is do we do Sails as well as Wings?

I'm tempted to say no and just go with a big Wings table as at Beachhead last week.

If I don't hear a wail and gnashing of teeth I'll go with that plan

I am happy just to do WGF for this show Dave

    Thanks for the reminder, Neil!

I'll try to clear that day for action.

    Mike - yes please

I will check comms from IPMS for details but I think it us as last year, 4 places, maybe 6. Standard setup with a games table plus another for display/storage. I've been mobbed to run another game as well so I'll be on both.

I have two templates, for either of the versions of Wings of Glory, and a Sails template, too.

Do you want both (all three)? A participation card for each version, and an Ace card for the 'winners', as well as a 'Victim/Bullet Magnet' card?

Stingray one looks great, but tis year's extra game is "Mad Wet Max" - powerboat racing in the post apocalyptic world

    Great cards, Mike!

Just one tiny point - "Center" should read "Centre" in Blighty!

WOW! Stingray!?! I remember watching that show (as well as Thunderbirds) back in the '60s when I lived in England. Nobody I know has even heard of it over here in the States. I'm glad to see it still has a following!

Will aim to be there for 9am.

Seeing as there will be Chris, Nigel, Tim and Mike to handle WoG, I'm happy to help out with the Mad Max on Water, which will spread the load. So let me know if there is anything you want me to gen up on beforehand.

The show went well. The game went very well, beautifully presented as always, and it was runner up in the award for "Best Participation Game". 5th year in a row its either been first or second
