Ground Scale

I know the planes are 1/144. But what is the ground scale? How far does a ruler reach or what is the width/length of a WoG map in km/miles?

The mats appear to be about 1/10000 based on size of ships in the coastal mat, they're certainly of a significantly smaller scale, but ideal for giving an impression of viewing from a great height.
