I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
Thats pretty awesome. I have seen one of a low pass by a B-17 but can't find it but have to look.
Yep! Looks like the watchers enjoyed that.
From the weather I am guessing it was in the UK.
Back in the late 50's when I was in the CCF (Combined Cadet Force)at school we spent a week at the Scots Guards Camp in Hoik in Scotland and one day were given our very own display by a Hawker Hunter jet. We were ensconced on the top of a high hill / low mountain at the end of a valley. At times we were actually higher than the Hunter and looking down on it as it flew up the valley toward us. I am probably wrong but I reckon that he was not more than 20 feet above us when he passed over. He was probably somewhat higher but it certainly did not feel like it. Quite spectacular and something I have never forgotten.
That's not "low".
*THIS* is "low": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iOoiEbtf2w [NSFW: language].... >;)
When I was young we lived in a house near an R.A.F. base and planes going in to land flew low over our street. Occasionally a Vulcan Bomber would pay a visit but since it was a fighter base the runway was a little short unless the Vulcan pilot got his approach just right. If he got it wrong the pilot opened up his afterburners and did our house shake!
Flying into Hong Kong in the early 1970's was fun sky scrapers to left and right of the plane. LoL
Well, as long as you're not in North by Northwest.
thats not low; this is low; 1:17

I had a Harvard do a very low pass over me When I worked on the farm. He came up from behind me , I was raking hay so didn't hear him till he was over me about 150 to 200 ft
Almost jumped off tractor . Took a minute or 2 for heart to stop racing.
