Default Spitfire 92 Squadron decal test run

Pictured below is a 1/200 Armaments in Miniature (AIM) model with test decals applied. The test is for fit and look. I'm contemplating a very small decrease in size of the tail flash and the sqn code.

If you've comments or suggestions I'd like to hear about them. Here's a link to an existing thread http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...fire-Squadrons

    Thumbs up

Looking Good Kevin, although the Squadron ID letters should be more "bluish" if you can manage it.
I also agree reduce the size of the Tail flash & the letters.

That looks good. If you look at the photograph of this machine with the same lettering, it was one of the rare Spitfire Mk1b's fitted with 2 Hispano cannon.

Barry is right about the lettering, it was more a very light grey than white.

Really appreciate your efforts Kevin, thanks.

Looks good Kevin. No decals in mail today hopefully tomorrow. Maybe next time I should drive down and pick them up.

Kevin I don't know if this helps but here are three photos I took of a ZVEDA (1/144) and a SHAPEWAYS (1/200) I-16. The white one is the 1/200 plane.

Bob, decals for those are possible. I'd just need to know what folks wand and a few references.

Thanks all, I'm going to try some other grays. Kevin

I could see multiple sheets for the I-16 (and also the I-15), Kevin--SCW Republican, Soviet at Nomonhan, Nationalist Chinese, and Soviet during early to mid WWII (patriotic slogans).

Sets for 92 Squadron are shown here - http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/for...United-Kingdom
I'll add them to the webstore during the next update.

I also started a Spanish Civil War decal thread here - http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...r-(SCW)-decals where folks can add and discuss SCW decal requests.

Bob & Darryl, thanks for the info. Kevin

PS - the 92 Squadron decals look like this:

Three sheets with roundels, flashes, and codes

Kevin you are getting busy. Have to see what else I need for some of the planes I have. Thanks for your efforts.

Looking at those I have 4 planes that need 1/200 decals and these will fit the bill very nicely. Although not Spitfires or Hurricanes I will make use of them.

Saw the update on your site. New order placed. Now I just have 4 new planes to get done.
