I had the (rare) opportunity to enjoy a full day of gaming during my Christmas-New Year's vacation! I started the day with a couple games of Wings of Glory WWI with my Wingman Coog. It was just the two of us for the first game, so we started with a two vs. two duel with Sopwith Camels (Coog) vs. Fokker Dr.Is (me). You can view the AAR for the first game in my previous post.
We had a couple young pilots walk up at the end of the first game who agreed to join us for the second game. Our youngest pilot was awarded a two-seater with a mission to obtain photos of a strategic objective and return safely to Allied lines. Coog provided an escort and provided sound advice for his first mission. The Germans flew to intercept the Allies, but were unaware of their target or mission. We played with Basic Rules only for this scenario to ease the young pilots into play.
Our excited young pilots with Coog intently focused on planning for a successful mission.
Planes closing to attack range!
Table view with our youngest pilot.
Photos of target taken!
Furball!
Kempf took it on the chin early and decided to run away to fight another day!
Kirschstein not pursuing?
Kirschstein decides he has had enough!
Final Ally damage...yes, the two-seater completing the mission without a scratch!
We were going to start another game, but our young pilots had to leave. I included this one to show off my new No Man's Land playmat.
