Default Preview of WW1 bombers and Series 5 models

    Here an article on "Gioconomicon":

    http://www.gioconomicon.net/modules....ticle&sid=5664

It is in Italian, but the words "Galleria fotografica" on line 6 go to a rich photogallery of 45 pictures.

    All the best!

    Thanks for that Andrea... stunning!

What really took my breath away was the boxart for "Rain of Destruction" - that's a whole new level of artistry compared to previous boxes. Is it the same artist?

The bombers look great (with the added bonus that they'll be far lighter than the metal kits) and the early war fighters will be great additions to the range, particularly after the DH2s myself. Cheers, Andrea.

OK. So common sense says ... 1) I have just managed to smuggle all of Series IV in without my wife murdering me so I can 2) buy the Deluxe Edition when it arrives, hopefully not too soon, and 3) wait patiently for Series V and then 4) the Bombers through 2011 & 2012 spreading my spending like a sensible person in this era of financial constraint.

Hang on ... no I can't! I want these, and I want them now!!!

Lovely toys ... I really need these bombers
Any ideas, what they may cost?

Not wanting to sound like a spoilt child..... but 'I want them NOW'...

It looks like I will have to make do with Skytrex & Reviresco models in the meantime due to the looooooonnnng wait we will have for them to be released. The anticipation is just too much!

These look great! It seems like these may be out sooner than anticipated? Maybe I'm just optimistic.

Does this mean that Series 5 and the bombers are coming out at the same time? (my wallet is wimpering at the very thought...)

I would imagine that they would be priced between a 2 seater and a balloon, but much closer to the 2 seater...so, I'm hoping they'd come in around US$20. each. That would be affordable. The Series IV came in at US$13. each...no price difference between single seaters and 2 seaters...so there's a chance they could even come in at a few bucks less than US$20...that would be even better!

I will have to be the devils advocate here, I have been waiting for 2 years for WoW Series 5 when I have them in my in my hand at the games store is when I will acknowledge their out. However on the positive side looks like it could be an expencive year. Will have to reduce the debt on my credit card NOW!

Um...did you skip series 3 and 4? I believe that "waiting" is what makes us all stick together here...we wouldn't have anything to grumble about if the darned planes came out at a reasonably paced, on time schedule...and of course included every plane every one wants!

Sounds like 2-engine birds only at this point.

*dreaming of a "WoW WWII: Giants" set with an Me264 Amerikabomber, G10N1 Fugaku and XB-36... and maybe a "Weird Wings" set with the Horten and Northrop flying-wings, and assorted other Projects & Prototypes*

I cannot see that ever happening, Diamondback. There are too many conventional aircraft that people would like to see first.

I didn't say anything beyond "dream", did I?LOL We gotta get past the industry as a whole's resistance to 4-engine types first... and I'd like to see the B-17 and B-24 escort-gunship conversions too, along with the inline-reengined B-17 testbed. (Sadly, while the latter showed great potential to improve over "standard", it was destroyed in a hangar fire before any usable data could be gathered. I've long thought the re-engine and up-gun should've been tried together...)

That's the problem with you Rob: overly blood optimistic. Ooops sorry about that, just saw that you didn't mention which Christmas. In that case, you're spot on.

    On the other hand...

'Til it either hits my LGS shelves or preorder at CSI, 12-7 or Miniature Market it's vaporware, which means I have no idea why I'm starting to feed this year's announcements into my tracking spreadsheet. LOL
