Going to the Weihnachtsmarkten is great fun. I've been to a few, Munchen, Hamburg and Nurnberg. Woulod love to get to see a few more.

B-17 plate? I would not think of finding one of those in Berlin. I would assume B-17s are not appreciated there!

    Enjoy your Christmas Andy!

Many B-17 crews can confirm this.

Time heal most wounds. We owe the USA a lot after WW 2, especially (West-)Berlin.

Envious of your wonderful time, Andy! Reminds of the mid-70s when I was stationed there...except there was a Wall then...

Looks like you all are having a blast!

    All the best,
    Matt

Steve you are correct. I never spent anytime in Europe. All my overseas time was in Asia. I have a friend who was stationed in Berlin and he fondly remembers taking that train to the west.

I spent many nights on that train, too - go to sleep at night in West Berlin, wake up at the crack of dawn in Frankfurt - and vice versa - a great way to travel!

    All the best,
    Matt
