Default Alternate Maneuver deck for BE2c

This is an all new maneuver deck, not based on any of the Ares cards which I`ve classed as an SB deck.
Its intended as a replacement for a number of the smaller unofficial planes that are currently assigned the XB deck, especially the BE2c.
The straights are the same length as the XB but the turns have been reworked, regular climb and stall cards have replaced the `large card` ones and short side slips added.

This is something I`ve been playing around with for a while but I think its about time to put it out for some playtesting.
Feel free to try this and make some suggestions for modifications.

Might need someone to move this into WW1 section. But great idea Rob. I too will have try this out. Any chance you could add a right and left turn in red and a shorter arrow right and left turn in red for climbing turns and dives?
See you on the Dark Side......

Both sheets are full but I could always do a third sheet of Extras.
Diving turns I`m reasonably happy with and I just left them out because I wanted the deck to mirror the choices in the standard decks.
Given the slowness of the planes using this though, could they even manage climbing turns without stalling out?

    Great job, Robert.

Now I just need Ares to get the aircraft to the table in my lifetime ....

    Well there are alternatives.
    For example,
    http://www.shapeways.com/product/CH9...ionId=43670685
and there are other BE2 models available both at that site and elsewhere.
There`s even a paper model which I think can be found in the files section.

Very nice Robert. I'll definitely make a few sets of these.

Many thanks Robert. Found this by accident as normally I'm WW1 only. But this is great and shall definitely use.

The Shapeways BE's are very nice models.
    Here are my two.
They are based on the BBC "Wings" TV series BE's with one having a Lewis gun firing at an angle past the Prop on the Left hand side.

Thanks, but I am not much of a modeler these days, which is why I was drawn to Wings of Glory.
The pre-done models suit my capabilities well.

Question please: If we have these printed professionally (my printer is just about worn out when it comes to colour copies) where do we stand regarding copyright on the back design? Are we ok providing they are not for sale?

We played a game at Hammerhead yesterday using a B.E.2c (There will be an A.A.R. soon). It was frustratingly slow and clumsy in manoeuvring but that is what you would expect from it.

    Nice looking models, good job.

Just tripped over this in WGS House Rules (can somebody move it please) - Good looking deck though for an inherently stable machine I don't understand why the sideslips should be steep, that might make lining up on things a tad harder, especially if you need to stall as well. Nice to see them though.

Perhaps it is a reaction to one of the most Unstable machines, the Sopwith Camel, having no "steep"s at all! (apart from the 'compulsory' stalls)...............

Not sure myself. I didn`t want to just copy the Ares backs for a number of reasons, partly the copyright thing but also because I find that printing out a sheet with a lot of dark blue tends to be heavy on the ink on my home printer so I did the backs myself making the backgrounds and did the lettering using the Duality font. They were sort of a nod to the original Nexus cards as they also used a lighter blue and used the same font.

If you've got any 'Nexus' box sets, they all (IIRC) contained 6 or 7 "blank" cards with the pale blue 'Nexus' "Wings of War" backs.............

I forgot all about these cards - will get some printed for use in the OTT campaign ( although BE.2c might not be used much now)
