Skafloc - just had a quick look, there is no confliction with Partizan (first show is 21 May 17). Hammerhead (same venue) is on 4 March 17, however.....

Hi Neil, last year was excessive in March as we Hammerhead, followed a week later by WMSS and then the week after Triples in Sheffield.
As already pointed out no clash, but after last year it is probsbly why it seemed so

Apologies have confirmed that I will do Hammerhead. (Can't do both).

Or how many minutes after opening time they'll run out of bacon rolls (I'm guessing 5)

Replace "Fire Alarm" with "Bio-toxin Alarm" in honour of Mr Manley

I have just received clearence to attend this years WMMS, I've been away from the front for far to long, the joys of being married and being a father. I haven't played a game of Wings since the Stafford show. I am hoping to be free to attend some more shows in the future, just as long as the swmbo and Zoe agree.

Well that was a first, NO fire alarms and the bacon sandwiches lasted past 09:30 hrs (they must have known Dave Manley wasn't coming and decided to get some bacon in just to wind him up). Good show, really busy in the morning, if quieter in the afternoon. ANother half decent turn out by the 'drome... Boney10 and Maverick manning the Boaty table, War Boar and Muttley dividing themselves equally twixt sea and air, Baron Rolf, Flying Helmut and yours truly squabbling amidst the clouds over a late war Western Front. This was nice as it enabled me to whip out a pair of Bristols for the first game... more on the AARs that I know will follow.

We also had a visit from Roland, late of the much missed Stafford Games, alas no amounts of threats or persuasion could entice him out of retirement.

Best participation game went to a 1/32 scale WWI trench assault with tanks - very nice, but they were the biggest 1/32 figures I have ever seen - more like 54mm toy soldier scale, but looked really good.

Apologies if I missed anyone off...

    Very amusing intro Chris.
I am glad you all had a good day and look forward to reading the AARs. or should that be ASRs?
