Thread: Clipper's Armory

  1. #1

    Default Clipper's Armory

Had a need for some weapons to sell at our neighborhood yard sale . . . behold the Marshmallow Marauder!

I have no idea how many zillions of these I have made, they are great fun for nearly every occasion, did some as a dueling set for a wedding even!

    Parts required:

    1/2" pvc pipe:
    5 - @ 4" long
    1 - @ 7" long
    1 - @ 2" long

1/2" pvc slip fit pipe fittings:

    2 - 90 degree elbows
    2 - Tees
    2 - end plugs

Assemble as seen in the first picture - press fit all connections - cement not necessary or recommended. Miniature marshmallows are inserted into upper mouth piece, lips applied and blow hard - marshmallow will emerge from the muzzle at good velocity, range for a blow hard is around 50' with great accuracy - have fun, but you never got this from me . . .

Not my design, but I have had a lot of fun with it . . . . Makezine kids project as I recall, about 5 years ago . . . I now buy the fittings in Contractor's Bulk packs . . .

Very creative, David! Do you put a blockage in place to prevent the marshmallows going into the gun-butt?

The end caps do it all, physics makes sure the marshmallow exits the one open end, although a newbie often inhales while the gun is loaded and ends up swallowing the bullet! Gotta love air pressure and vacuum laws!
