Default The most popular nose art - the shark mouth

This fantastic piece covers the use of the shark's mouth on aircraft from WW1 through WW2 to the current day:

Excellent post Wayne. I have seen some of the photos before but the majority of them were new to me. What a great and inspiring History. It makes me want to paint a shark mouth on the Wife's car!

Though there is a book on the development of the 262 titled 'Sharks of the air'! -(a great read BTW).

    Great article, thanks!
It's a pity they missed this one anyway. Even if it's clearly a dragon, not a shark. I'd probably have to wrote them to propose it.

There's theories about where the "dragon" concept came from....

To my mind - it fits much better on Bf 110. It's slim fuselage resembles a shark shape perfectly. And the guns in it's nose...
