Doncaster 2016. A Kyte's eye view.
Not quite so many photos this year as I was mainly treading water in Sails, but also some in the Pacific.
First some general pictures.
Two tables of the prizes.
Game on from both ends of the hall.
Simon's Pirates game. Still smarting from my nine nil drubbing I went and got drubbed in Neil's Pacific game instead.
Some BoB action I think.
Really! It's for me.
A lovely pair of Bristols Chris.
What's that duck doing there?
Kyte.

Neil's sink the Carrier game.
At the other end of the table Deadly M and Hawkhurst were sinking the accompanying Destroyer.
My job sink the Carrier simples! Did it last year with one torpedo.
Bombing should be much easier.
Then Andy's Zeros got on my case and up came the flack from the Carrier.
Aircraft one just got off his bombs and bullseye.
Andy took me down.
Second wave comes in. Looks good.
BULLSEYE AGAIN.
Curses it did not sink.
But Andy got me again.
Those pesky Zeros.
Meanwhile Deadly M and Hawkhurst finished the destroyer, but before they had time to refuel, rearm and reach the flat top the time was up.

That was the prize for the first person to end up in the drink in my "Sink the sub and save the convoy" that the RNAS/RAF lost so comprehensively.
Ruth found it at the Fleet Air Arm museum while we were on holiday this summer, suggested its use for this purpose, and then won it!
Getting shot down first, and scoring no hits on anything meant she was out for a duck in every sense.
