As I hail from North'Humber'land, Bernicia of old, and one of the last bastions to revolt aginst the French (Normans at the time hence the 'scouring of the north'), I think I'm correct in saying everything south of the Humber is France. Also Northumberland has never been a shire, that too seems to be a French thingymajig.

Only the second instance when you can have your cake and eat it, with pudding, at anytime of the day. The other time being pudding with breakfast, be it black or white.

Getting back to some semblance of normality - disregarding discussion on geography (anything North of Watford) and foreign food (stotties) - now would seem a good time to remind you good gentlemen (and gentlemenesses) of the painting competitions at Doncaster. Post #228 gives the details and rules, but basically I'm sponsoring the compo for WW1 2-seater paint jobs, and Maverick aka Simon is sponsoring the compo for boaty things, in two scales no less!

4 weeks to go chaps, so get your paint brushes out.

    Possibly that's why it's called the 'mid'lands

There you go, you're in France then.

Any chance you could 'cross' the border and pop up north to Doncaster for a mad afternoon, day or weekend of fantastic gaming?

WW1 is the way to go! There's something special about those colourful string bags swooping around the skies.
To be honest I chose WW1 because it is less similar to SoG than WW2 (ducks below parapet).
