I'll arrive with hand luggage only.

...I would be happy to simply participate at Doncaster without hosting a mission.

By the way: What did you drink during Doncaster Con. Is there a fridge for beer?

    Hi Sven
There is a fridge and we are allowed to use it so your beer should be in perfect condition for the full weekend.

Local supermarket has a vast selection of real ale and some "overseas " beers.

    Update chaps:

Chris (Hedeby) is visiting the Air Museum this weekend to confirm timings and dates. He will also confirm room space so we can adjust tables as neccessary.

Once this is done I hope to confirm the programme, timings etc shortly.

Could all attendees please state your preferences for the games being run at Doncaster this year so the game organisers can plan their requirements well in advance.

Please PM me so I can update the game free slots chart weekly.

    Thank you all again.

We have 4 free games slots on Friday 1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday.

These will stay open until June 30th when they will be closed for organised games but left open if members want to play a free game of their own.

Not knowing specifics, yet, I would imagine lots of aircraft and lots of fun.

Chris has done the recce. We have a large room right next to the kitchen/toilet end of the building. So not too far to stagger for a beer chaps.

I have a load of Flypast/Aeroplane mags spanning 30 years that I will bring with me to donate to the Air Museum. Do the attendees want first dibs? If so, I'll bring them into our rooms before handing them over to the museum, and will sell them for a nominal amount, proceeds to the museum. This sound reasonable?

What planes do we use for the "Ace of Aces" game?

    WGF or WGS?
    Voilŕ le soleil d'Austerlitz!

  19. #19

All planes for the Ace of Aces game are provided by UKWing's very own Quartermaster, FlyingHelmut (Tim). So no need to worry about what to bring. As always the Ace of Aces is WW1 (WGF) based.

They look fantastic Rob. It's a pity the medal wasn't an item on it's own. Be nice to have one to go with all the others I have.

Plane arrives Friday 12:25 h in Manchester.

Train for Doncaster leaves Manchester Airport 13:55 h and will arrive 15:25 h in Doncaster, so I should be in time for Neil's 16:20 h China game.

(Bought a nice ticket for 9 GBP and have enough time planed for some delay).

Question: When will we be done with the Con at Sunday?

I'm not in a hurry, bit if it's forseeable I could buy the ticket back to Manchester in advance.

Sunday 12.30 to 1pm is prizes and lunch Sven. Does that help you?

China game is scheduled for 16.35, plenty of time Sven.

Do not forget to bring your Prague Award for services to the Luftwaffe BoB game to Doncaster. Maverick (Simon) and myself will be most disappointed if you do not.

No worries comrades, I already announced it a week ago at the Anchorage:

...to care for the standart terrain tiles.

I care for the charts to manage the French line, little name signs for the ships, a special half and quarter damage ruler, a Frech admiral's hat, a tricolore banderole and a toilet brush.

    Thanks in advance!
