I wonder if anyone Recognises this aeroplane? I can make out a roundel on the upper left wing, so not an Axis machine but that it! This is a job for the "Brain from down under"

The exhaust ports, cylinder head faring, straight struts, windscreen and the slab slide give the essence of a Spad, a Spad 7

It's a SPAD VII of N.103 photographed in 1917
Great information about the plane, but as you can see it's equipped with rockets, can anyone expand on the "American rockets"?
