Default Tally Ho Chaps ! Greetings from the latest 20 minuter

And another one joins the squadron

I first played a wargame 43+ years ago, inspired by a Donald Featherstone library book for those that remember.

Wings of War is where I come from so not actually a newbie to the game, but nothing like as passionate or as heavily invested as some of you folks. That being said after chatting with Maverick yesterday I appear to be re-inspired.

I play games at 'Barnsley Association of Wargamers' and 'Sheffield and Rotherham Wargames' where I'll be trying to bust a dam on Thursday night and I might just sneak along to Doncaster this weekend to meet some of y'all.

When I finished full time work 4 years ago I invested in a laser cutter and set up in business (according to the tax man!) so if its Perspex or MDF you want cutting just gimme a shout.

So that's it for now, looking forward to getting to know you all (well some anyway).

    Mick

Hi again Mick, and now an official welcome to the UK Wing for my latest Wingman.
I do hope you can make Donny this weekend. I would love to meet you in person.
Are you perchance the chap that made us the smoke markers?
    Rob.

Welcome Mick! I too took up the gauntlet many many years ago inspired by a Featherstone book (Naval Wargaming). I hope you enjoy this game (and your business thrives)!

Welcome to the Drome Mick from a fellow (pseudo) Yorkshireman. I moved to Yorkshire in 2003 with my job but born a Londoner.
May all your landings be perfect and remember to watch your six.
Hope to meet you at Doncaster. Always nice to put a face to a name.

Time you got your feet under the table in the Officers' Mess then Mick, and blagged a virtual beer or three of this lot.
I'll start you off with the first round.
