Un-boxing is done, here are a few more pics. I am a not a critical person but there are some slight issues here. One of the Sopwith 1 1/2's was not put together properly and the base plate sticks out of the bottom of the fuselage. That won't be a quick fix, I will have to match paint and do a bit of work to correct it ($%&@!!) Secondly, all the CIII's have a very pronounced mold mark on the edge of the lower wing.
Very tempting! Sadly I already have them on Shapeways or scratch builds . . .they will go on my later list for sure though, must keep the storage filled! Thanks for the info!
So they have started the landing procedure in the U.S.A.
Curious who will be the first to get them in Europe.

Jim,
Anything else in the boxes, like ace or equipment cards?

I just opened two packs so far and was delighted to see an Ace card and a couple other airplane specific cards. I am assuming the others have them too as I am not Lucky enough to pick the only 2 out of 12 if that were the case! I also received the Ace tokens, Fire & Smoke Markers and Prop Rulers Keith offered for the pre-order.
I thought I have more planes than I need but at GOA talked to a friend and he said the planes were good so had to spring for the set from Cotton Jim. The planes are really good.
Thanks for posting Jim. A file should fix the mould lines on the C.IIIs and I hope the Sopwith was a one off.
The ability cards are a good idea. The Pfalz D.III also had 'unreachable' machine guns (under the fuselage decking) and the Bristol F.2b would be another candidate for the 'Flying Doctrine' card for the first couple of months they were in service from April 1917.
Looking good, hope to see mine this week
I'm really interested in the C.III's Maneuver Deck. Any surprises there (it's the first Y-Deck in Ares' Line, isn't it)?
With the unjammable guns I guess the only option is to run for home. Therefore maybe the pilot should be able to plan each move once he gets a jam so he can dodge the opposition more easily
That does not sound like fun!
