    Default Partizan II

So another show attended, and some more games played
We had two rather small tables this show, one for the Aerodrome, one for the Anchorage
Maverick, Flying Officer Kyte, Boney10 and Rebel had all beaten me to the show and set out 4 mats for me to set up the first game on.
I decided to offer a Somme period game for WWI for fairly obvious reasons. Prospective punters had a choice of
    Pups, 11/2 stutters, DH2s, an Fe2 and a N16 with Prieur rockets
or Alb DII, Fokker EIIIs Roland CII, Halberstadt DII/III and Alb CI.
The naughty Huns also had a balloon up, with an anti aircraft gun guarding it.
Jabba turned up as I was setting up, then about 1030, Felix and his dad wandered over and asked for a game.
Part way in, and Felix, having chosen a Pup is on fire

    (me actually)
Jabba is flying another Pup and a Strutter (B/A)
Rebel has chosen the DII (B)
I have the Roland CII (B/B)
Archie wakes up and has a pop at Jabba's Pup

    and does the job.
Down to some straight forward dogfighting, I keep hacking away at Felix, Rebel joins in, Felix catches fire again

Jabba decides the Ack Ack is too much of a nuisance after three pot shots at him (all 0s) and gives it a pasting

Reg draws C8, I draw the explosion card. Due to the proximity, Reg gets another C, another 8, but he was already gone.

    After lunch, WWII, Bob
Felix came back, and got his dad playing.
    They took a Ju87 and a Bf110 each
Harry (10) and his dad took 4 Spits and 4 Hurricanes each respectively
Another chap, whose name I neglected to take took control of 4 109s.

none of the players claimed any previous experience with WoG WWII, Jabba was also a first timer, but proved an invaluable assistant to me in running the game.
Felix and his dad started demolishing the 6 blind target cards, but the first aerial casualty proved to be one of the 110s.

10 minutes later, the 109s have mullered the RAF (Galland's 109 taking down 3 spits and a Hurri), Harry is down to his last Spitfire, and Rob (utterly sunk on the other table) has been drafted in to provide Dowding's 'Big Wing'

Everyone playing had a great time, Jabba ended up taking on more and more of the game as passers by stopped to ask me questions about the game, the Aerodrome and Game availability.
My personal thanks to all the team for a great days flying and promoting the game

I was too busy with Big Wing to take any more shots.
It was mainly a chase for the coast with the Luftwaffe running short of fuel.
    The gallant Galland got away.

So much fore Big Wing. Late as usual.
