Default Newbie (+2) reporting for duty

A few weeks ago, I bought the WWI Rules and Accessories pack plus 2 duel packs and about 10 individual planes for me and my two 9-year old sons. We have been playing the Basic Rules and absolutely love it. If there are any groups that play in the Boston area (preferably on the North Shore), let us know!

    Thanks!

Welcome and enjoy! My two boys dragged me into the game years ago, now they have moved off and onto careers in the game world, still play when they are stateside for holidays! Sounds like you have a great start.

Welcome to the Aerodrome to you and your two 'wingmen', Tim, from here near Norwich in the United Kingdom.

You will find much on this site to help you enjoy the game and, if you have any questions, you will find the people here are very friendly and helpful.

Glad you found your way to the Forum, Tim! It's great that your boys like playing the game with you - mine do on occasion with me, too...

This is a great site full of information, friendly people, and inspiration. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

    All the best,
    Matt

Welcome to the Aerodrome Tim. I live in Marblehead but am only there every other weekend. Hopefully we can get to fly together.

I run games at some of the local cons, Havoc, Huzzah!, and this year at Carnage on the Mountain (nov.)

Glad to "meet" you , Peter. I'm not as tapped in to the local cons, so if you are doing something somewhere, let me know.

Also, I've been playing other stuff at The Castle (new board game café) in Beverly, MA every once in awhile. If you are interested, it may be fun to meet there some afternoon/night and maybe as we play, we can generate some interest from others as they look on. While it's usually very Euro-game centric, last time I was there, there were some guys who brought Paths of Glory from GMT.

I've also talked with a couple of the game stores on the North Shore (Toys 'n Things in Danvers, Toy Soliders in Amesbury) about WoG players and it seems most have a very solid group doing Star Wars X-Wing and/or Warhammer, but nothing really on the WoG front.
