Thread: SAML S.2 & Pomilio PC available

Default SAML S.2 & Pomilio PC available

Are the Italian twoseaters SAML S.2 & the Pomilio PC available at Shapeways?

Found some nice plane cards in the "Watch your back" expansion and would give a Shapeways model a first try.

There's a Colinwe SAML available, Sven; I have one, and am quite pleased with it. The only Pomilio P type I'm aware of is a PE, also by Colinwe.

    Thank you, Darryl & Dave.

    What can you recommend, comrades:

White Strong & Flexible: White nylon plastic with a matte finish and slight grainy feel.

    or

Black Strong & Flexible: Black nylon plastic with a matte finish and slight grainy feel.

I haven't gotten any BSF models yet, so I can neither recommend or advise against. If this was styrene, I'd be leery of it, since both aircraft's base coat is probably going to be a light color (CDL). Since this is a porous nylon instead, you're looking at multiple coats of primer/clear gloss/diluted white glue (your choice) to smooth the surface out, so BSF should work out about the same as WSF.

So it's nearly 32 € with shipping cost to Germany for 2x 1/144 twoseaters.

Maybe I wait until the Ares Games announcement of WGF series 10...

Can anybody be so friendly and post a detailed picture of a painted Shapeways twoseater here?

Thank you comrades, those twoseaters look nice and gave me an idea how the final product looks like.

Shouldn't be too difficult to mount some machine guns.

    We'll see...

I thought there was a shapeways in the Netherlands?

Plus I really do not understand EU taxes. I sent a $80 package to Portugal and the poor guy had to pay another $80 in taxes.

Shipping cost are 6€ from Europe.

The two models are 2x13 €.

You have to pay 19% EU tax for every product/present/item + it's shipping cost that comes from outside the EU and has a value of more then 20 €.

So if this guy paid 80€ the sending was a little bit more valuable, I think.

Do you pay taxes/fees on gifts sent for outside Europe? If not, things can be arranged.

    present = gift = tax

    Thank you.

...but I do not need to order from outside EU.

The one reason I order from the States is the much earlier availability of WGF, WGS & SoG miniatures. (Aerodrome Accesoires )

Thanks for answering, they were worth more but not that much. I'll stop complaining about my states 5% sales tax.

Yeap, the price is nasty, Sven, considering you have to paint them and buy decals...
Not a deal I would get into.
Very sorry to say that, but recently I have bought Imperial Veterans, 2 starfighters' wonderfully painted minis with pilot & mod cards in PL and tokens for the equivalent of 25€ inc. delivery.

Just a second you think you're X-Wing save, the Silesian Knight strikes again...

Those shapeways are "print on demand", so I understand the price.

Question is, if I'm willing to pay this price at the moment.

Give me another two weeks and I'll place my first Shapeways order.

I already have Italian decals from a past repaint action, "original" plane cards are available and I can use the K movement deck and a twoseater flight stand from a Nexus/ Ares Games mini.

    Nice models, Ian.

That's what I want to see from Ares Games next WGF series.
