    Default WGF our first AAR!

    Hi Guys,

So this Sunday we had a few spare hours between Church Services to kill so I asked my daughter what she would like to do and without hesitation the words "WINGS OF GLORY!!!" came flying out to my joy.

It was just very basic turn & shoot rules and she loves it. Also any historical accuracy wasn't a must for us as we were just in it for some Sunday fun.

She chose Stark's D.VII (big surprise) and I went with Dallas' SE5a.

Also we got a chance to try out the Advanced Cockpits from Keith and they are excellent!

After our first pass at eachother drew flames for her and smoke for me we parted ways whilst trying to contain the damage, I came swinging back in on her 6 and came close enough for a big double damage salvo. She Immelmann'd and escaped swiftly. She then out played me by chasing me down for atleast 5 turns then played me perfectly by cutting in on my big left turn which got her close enough for a close range shot and finished me off. Had a great time, her little brother came in the door a bit late and begged if he could join as The Red Baron. Mum's away this weekend so we know what our plans are!

Looks like a great game! One of my favorite things about WGF is that it is a lot of fun for players of all ages, and very easy to teach!

My daughter wants to play but she's only 4. So I usually lend her one of my bigger Axis and Allies WW2 planes (they are much less prone to breakage), and let her sit in as the audience when my wife and I play.

Glad you and your daughter had fun, and congrats on her victory! I'm now thinking about getting a Stark D.VII as a future gift for my daughter when she's older, lol.

    Great stuff, Sam!

    That SE5a looks familiar......................
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!

Great to see the young ones being infected early when mom's away. Hopefully very soon a Pfalz will get in the action.

Yes she absolutely loved it. Sorry Tim I couldn't do the SE5a any justice and yes Peter the Pfalz is next on my list to pilot

Great to see the kids involved Sam. Young children can be challenging opponents as they often play unexpected manouvres.

Great to see your kids enjoying the game Sam. My daughter still has a few years to go before I give her free reign with any of my planes, she is only 2.
Hopefully your kids will grow up and enjoy table top gaming the rest of their lives.
